Looking for a video editor and upgrader - GoFuckYourself.com

I am looking for advice on a video editor that does all or most of these things:

Upgrade SD to HD or HD to 4K
Allows you to add text or image water marks
Allows you to edit videos, cut clips or merge clips together.
I am also hoping to be able to compress the video without losing too much quality

In the past i have used sony vegas for editing but it doesn't edit 4k or upgrade scenes. Any suggestions are greatly apricated!

Hi, you can use Adobe Premiere latest version. When handling large files you gonna update your space, processing power, RAM ( MORE THE BETTER ) and try to buy the biggest monitor you can afford. Good luck !

Topaz Video AI is impressive. But it requires a powerful GPU or it is slow.

Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects will get you there:

After Effects

I upscaled videos shot in the 90s on Hi-8 to 1080p using Premiere Pro and ScaleUp in "Fast" mode.

thank you all for the comments and suggestions. I apologize for the delay in replying back. Its been a hard week I lost a family pet of 11 years monday and my aunt is about to pass any day now

Hi Shoplifter. I have Topaz and using standard settings but with the output quality set at 10 for a 264 mp4 and using a 720x480 NTFS VOB input, the 200% upscale option takes about 10x as long as the segment's original duration. So for instance a 2 min DVD video segment would take about 20 min to upscale to 960.

My specs are 16 GB RAM, 250 GB SSD, Ryzen 3400G APU chip with 2 GB VRAM. So no separate graphics card.

Is this super slow compared to your own setup? It is hard to find real-world information on speed.

The results do look great, overall very lifelike compared to the original, although the faces may look a bit doll-like. That is an area that still needs some improvement.
