anybody get snowed in?
The snow fall where I live wasn't that extreme, BUT the only routes out of the area were snowed in. Walker Pass, the 58 at Tehachapi, the 178 closed by rock slides and the Grapevine was snowed in. There's a Taco Bell about 10 miles away, they couldn't open, ran out of food. Had to stay in the area bout 5 days... not really that bad.
you guys??? |

I live in tahoe....the berms in my neighborhood are 15 feet high. its been extremely difficult to get in or out of the area for weeks. tahoe is used to and prepared for heavy snowfall so you can get to the grocery store if you want, but its better not to try because the area is flooded with tourists and the roads are treacherous. It can take hours to get from one side of town to the other.
I've barely left the house in weeks....so yeah, we're effectively snowed in. |

Mountains for me, I'm a motorcycle rider, bicycles are more for the beach from what I see. Although I do see guys huffing and puffing on a bikes way the hell up there at times.

Just north of me the 80 has been closed at Applegate. I've made a few trips up just to see snow.
We've been having a massive amount of rain here. It's supposed to rain for the next week. Thankfully my local community has done a lot of planning for floods and we haven't had any issues.
