Anyone on Starlink?

I've had it for almost a month now and I'm impressed, living out in the country, internet sucks. I had Hughes net, couldn't stream anything without buffering. Their customer service was horrible.
So made the $600 purchase, per month it's only $120 a month and the customer service is really spot on, everything is thru an app, the thing finds the satellite by itself and the speeds aren't too bad, no buffering on my Roku stick at all.

And I heard they're working on a laser upgrade?

Now if we could just get Door Dash out here?

What kind of speeds are you able to pull with that? What about uploads?

think about that

52 Mbps download
19 Mbps upload
I'm on the edge of their coverage and expect for that number to increase with more satellites and with the laser grid they are installing.
Using the Starlink app, you can do speed checks with ease.
Like I said, with this I can stream anything from Hulu, Disney and such and even the highest of definition on a 75" led TV and have a beautiful picture without any buffering.
Wife says we need to move the couch back a little, I told her if we do, I'm getting a bigger TV. It's better than going to the movie theater.

Living in the sticks, Starlink saved me a lot of headaches. I still keep two mobile carriers with an in-house booster installed as a backup, but Starlink has been great. I frequently see speeds north of 120mbps down and 20 up.

i´ve seen the starlink sats in the sky & wow...

I heard there´s more going up this month too...

nice to hear it works, not quite 600mbps from my wifi to my phone, but still, when you´re out & about, is pretty good

I've heard that from others and with the new laser grid going up, it should speed it up more.
I don't need the power I used to have, way back working for Playboy we had fiber and it was awesome.
The satellites above me in Oklahoma are just at the edge and I should get better speeds as time goes on.

Love the app

I have a couple websites in production, but don't need anything fast for them, very little content.
This so far works great. We had a really windy day and it didn't phase it.

The first one they sent didn't work, they got another out to me within a week. It was pretty cool how the bad unit reset it's mounting position by placing it face down and plugging in the power so it would fit back in the box.
Customer service is awesome, vs my wife dealing with Hughes net and hanging up on two different people trying to get it turned off.

I have it but I don't live out in the sticks. Australia just has bad internet and going down the route of Starlink was a good choice for me. Dropouts are rare, speed is good and the cost isn't astronomical.
