Do you still bother to SEO your Images?
I still get some traffic from bing and DDgo through my images, but not so much from G or Yahoo.
I was just wondering what everyone else's experiences were and if getting traffic via images is still a thing in this SEO era. |

Only on my main site now.
I get very little Google Images traffic, but I'm guessing that bothering to do the alt tags might still benefit the SEO of the page. |

That's because Bing and other platforms do read keywords and image text whereas others don't. Sure they maybe smaller - but in this day and age - any and all traffic is good because search engines' algorithms "read" the names of your images, just like they "read" the text on your site.
As a side note, choosing the right images for your website is important. I always recommend not to name your images like 2345349a_34.jpg since google can't read numbers
