The truth is that the accuse failed to prove he was guilty of conspiracy to commit pandering.
Therefore he was jailed mostly because of charge of perjury, which is very far away from the initial accuse. That's why he was in prison for such a short time.

Whether or not we think he's guilty or innocent is irrelevant. He took the plea deal, pleading guilty to the two charges, making him a convicted felon.
Should he have fought the charges? Perhaps, but in the end, he chose not to. He chose to admit guilt and take the sentence given to him.
