Why do online checks for adult websites take ten days to clear

I dont understand why checks online for adult sites take 10 days to clear, when everywhere else it takes 3 days to clear. Can someone please explain it to me

only if its out of state checks. but if its a Bank Of America check, and you use Bank Of America, it wont.

this is not exclusive to adult sites.

any out of state check takes longer to clear, unless you have a large account.

10 days, I wish our checks took 10 days.

Try 10 weeks sometimes.

It can be from a new never heard of supplier or Hustler who have more money then the bank clearing the check and we've done business with them from day 1 here. I walked into the bank and opened the account with one of their checks.

Check when the money left the clients account and work out for yourself where that money has been and who is not paying you for using it.

Get to know your tellers at whatever bank you are using, they won't hold your cheques then. My banks policy is 21 days on US cheques, haven't had a single cheque held in years.

Tony,

Do you mean checks that you deposit, or checks that you accept on your web site?

I have access to funds with my bank 24 hrs after I deposit any check as long as it is USA. I am talking about people wanting to sign up for my site.
