And I couldn't agree more with the title of this thread.

Age is just an indication about how log you've been walking this planet. Nice to know but what the hell are ya supposed to do with that info?

I have a question:

When you are young, you cant wait to turn 16..

When you turn 16, you cant wait to turn 18..

When you are 18 , you cant wait to turn 21..

After 21, you only have marriage, kids and death to look forward to...

Is THAT true?? LOL

Does anyone else think its cool when you see some old guy on TV, from some ancient village, that has no idea how old he is? He just lives like he has every other day. Some things just don't matter in the end.

Babagirls, it's hard to answer your question ;-) I'm 23 and right now it feels like what you said is right. But I studied in sociology once a survey of people's perceptions of life at different ages. When people aged 20-30 were asked about the best memories in their life, a majority said the teen years were the best. People aged 30-40 and 40-50 basically agreed their 20's were the best times, but it was spread out with some still preferring their teens, some liking their 30's. But here's the catch, when they interviewed people over 50, primarily retired individuals, there was an overwhelming majority that declared the golden years as the best times ever. Lots of possible reasons, but I always thought it was interesting. So now I am just doing my best to start my golden years at around 25 ;-)

Have a great day.

loster

Computers are old hat to me. Got a PC almost 20 years ago. It was a Blue Chip(company name) No ram, no HD, 2 5 1/4 floppy drives. monochrome monitor, paid $600 to upgrade to a 4 color CGA monitor and graphics card in 1985!

Never had a computer available for use to the students until I was in Middle School. And they were almost useless.

If you programmed computers when they used punch cards, you must be wealthy now, or, you didnt ever do it, or you stopped..

Punch cards are at least 20 years ago...

As far as computers go, I remember my first encounter, one bright morning, I got woken up extra early and was shown a Spectrum, I played a game and went off to school, my parent's rock, that was like in the early 80's, behind the iron curtain and all that.just imagine. today I have all this, I can't believe it, sorry all, drinking another one so getting sentimental. and yes Montreal definately rock harder than any other city I've ever seen, and I've been quite a few places.
