thumbnail gallery makers
Are there any thumbnail gallery makers which
will be able to detect the number of pictures and write it on the page? (loaded from my template) ------------------ Life's a bitch [This message has been edited by MrCockTale (edited 03-13-2001).] |

I know Thumbnail Gallery Pro, it's a fine
program, but doesn't have the feature to add your own text to it on every gallery (unless you change the template file for every gallery ofcourse) ------------------ Life's a bitch |

I know thumbsplus will write "next page" automatically and link it as well, if you add more pictures then your template can produce on the first page. I'm not sure about 'total pictures', but i figure if thumbs can do that, it may be able to count the pics and display it.
I haven't messed with it to much...you may want to check it out. Crutch ------------------ Submit movies at OnlyMovies.com [This message has been edited by Crutch (edited 03-13-2001).] |

I use Smaller ANimals Thumbnailer. It will calculate the number of images and put however many images to telll it to per page. You can build templates with it, and it has it's own proprietary scripting language so you can integrate some interesting randomization or information features that other things don't give you. and it can sort everything into subdirectories for you too. and the images can be branded and manipulated from within the program, and it's fast (on my p166), and cheap ($25 i think), and tiny (less than 3mb). Download it

PhotoShop 6.o has an awesome thumbnail gallery maker. Plus it creates new folders and directories on your coumputer. All you need to do is upload the entire folder and all subfolders automatically upload thru FTP.
Plus it's PhotoShop 6.0 so the thumbs are extremely clean. |

Make sure that you did'nt click on "Clear distination folder". That may cause a problem. |

Smaller Animals is DA BOMB!
If you're getting errors with it, check your pics... maybe they're PROGRESSIVE jpegs, which I noticed that many software packages have trouble with... use some batching software to save them as standard or optimized jpegs. |
