Question: Does the term 'ebony' describe..
A black male? I don't think I've ever heard of an 'ebony man' - but I'm not sure if it's just because I don't work with that kind of stuff.
So I just got to thinking, that maybe it's just used to describe a black female, and the men are just a 'black' or 'chocolate lover' (I've definately seen that) i'm all confuzzled.  |

Theres Ebony wood which is dark or it can just refer to dark or black.
As far as lingo yeah I never heard of a Brotha being refered to as "Hey that Ebony Man..(fill in blank)"

Agree with you man. "Ebony" can be used to represent black/dark but I never heard "ebony" bein used to describe a man yet.

Ebony (Diospyros ebenum), also known as Indian Ebony or Ceylon Ebony, is a tree in the genus Diospyros, native to southern India and Sri Lanka. It is noted for its heavy, black, fine-grained heartwood. It is a medium-sized evergreen tree, reaching 20hahaha8211;25 m tall.
