Sleazy, I kinda' know how you feel. I'm a web designer, and when people message me on ICQ asking me how to do this and that over and over again it pisses me off a bit too...

What I usually do is still try and answer them to the best of my knowledge, unless of course they were asking these questions to irritate me. If that was the case in your scenario, then you do have a point. But if he was asking them just so he could learn, you could have been nice about it - and if you were busy, then I'm sure he would understand if you said something along the lines of "I have a lot of work to do, i gotta go". And if he would get mad at something like that, then he would come out as the asshole.

Now I'm not taking sides here, and I have nothing against either one of you, I'm just saying what I believe in.

One tip I would give to newbies is to find a board that supports newbies... This one is really not the most appropriate forum (No offence intended Lens) but most people who post here are more or less professionals who do this for a living and don't have the time or patience to handle silly abc questions.

I have to agree with the big boys though, sometimes it feels like the newbs just want everything handed to them and they aren't willing to work for it like the rest of us.... That is something that constantly pisses me off. They want instant results and want to be the next hun by next week. Oh and you got to love these questions...

"Tell me everywhere you submit"

"Send me so and so's ICQ so I can get them to give me partner status"

"tell me all your good sponsors"

Yadda, yadda, yadda!

Fully understand that though. The questions everyone has been putting up, i agree, fucking stupid questions. But i didn't ask one of those damn questions! The things i asked were stuff like.. what was the chacne of a traffic trade. He told me that i'd have to send him enough traffic for him to notice. So i said, alright.. Then i asked a good place to buy some traffic. He recommended the place in his signature. Next thing i know, i'm checkin' out GFY and there's this post, obviously directed at me and any other person he considers a newbie that happened to message him today.

You act like i was asking him to throw me traffic. Or ask him how to run every aspect of my site or something. Shit, most of the stuff i asked him was stuff that would benefit both of us. I didn't want him to give me traffic. I wanted to trade traffic (and only once i had enough traffic for him to consider it to be a reasonable trade).

I've apologoised for bothering him. He hasn't accepted it.
