Video lighting needs

I'm going to invest some money in my first set of light meant especially for digital videos.
If anyone has a link for me that could explain the basics about lighting and what might be the best equipment to use.

If you can afford it, KinoFlo fluorescent lights with daylight balanced bulbs in them are the best.

Here's some basic lighting info- you can find a lot more info like this online or in book or DVD form.
