It's surprising how bad they are doing, they are one of the most recognizable brands in the world, and yet their business seems to be sinking hard... their stock used to be at 30 less than 10 years ago, now it trades at 1.75... Market Cap is at only 60 Million now...

when I was watching just the girls next door the other day and they were discussing how much time they put into taking pictures for a playmate I can see why they are sinking.

For the set they were talking about taking at times a month to setup for it. I'm like wtf?!

Yeah, that's what made playboy into PLAYBOY.

There are 1000's of magazines with cheap content that you never heard of.
Why do you think you never heard of them but everyone knows playboy?

Playboy started when the buyer had no choice, it was Playboy or a mail order catalog lingerie section.

There problems started when Hustler launched, then as more launched the problems got worse. It's a similar situation to our section of porn. The consumer has more choices. Playboy kept going as they were and refused to change.

I thought with the purchase of Lensman they'd have done A LOT better. Why don't they hire some of the best in adult to come work for them or atleast pay them to advise them on what direction to go?

Lensman was smart to sell when he did.

I think Playboy will be around for a long time to come. It may become a much smaller company but I don't think the brand will ever die altogether. I agree with Hank, they'll probably merge or something in the future.
