I was smarter about it this year and although i probably bought 3x as much as I needed, I waited until yesterday to buy my candy. Last year I bought it 2 weeks early and then ended up having to go to the damn store again because I ate most of it.

My son turned 13 2 months ago and thinks its dumb to go trick or treating. I keep trying to push him so he can bring me back some goodies but don't think its gonna work. I even guilted him by saying this will be the last year you can probably go

This year i'm giving out

Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
Baby Ruths
100 Grands
Butter Fingers
Nestle Crunches.

If it's anything like last year I will have 20-25 kids show up.

I picked up a load of cheap Chinese chocolate from the dollar store -- they were virtually giving the stuff away!

I get those cocktail toothpicks with the ribbons at one end (for a decoration). I then open some canned mixed veggies (peas, carrots, corn) and make a veggie-kabob.

The kids love them.

Jesus, where were all the people who were giving out drugs when I was a kid.

I did take LSD one halloween though when I was in highschool, that was pretty exciting.

Living on a 4WD road in a community of 2nd homes and retirees means no trick or treaters. But I've still bought a lot of candy. This year's fav was the candy corn flavored Hershey Kisses.
