I am trying to setup an easy system for updating our tours weekly. We are looking for something that would work similar to this. We need it so that every week our internal guys can crop thumbs, and create a descrip.txt, put it in a folder named 9999, upload it to our server for a specific site and that update take the top spot on the tour. Then the next week same thing, same pic sizes, same pic names, same descrip.txt, put it in a folder named 9998, and it show up on the top of the tour and push the update 9999 down one spot. And so on and so forth, with 5 update folders per page, then pushing to page 2, page 3, etc. basically once the 15th update is added, and we add one more the last one falls off of the last page. So it is always the 15 most recent updates or how ever many pages we feel like using. If you can do something like this, please hit me up with pricing info as we need this setup immediately.

wouldn't this just be include('desc.txt'); in your template where you want it having an UPDATES folder with full read/write access and rename loop?
