Are they fun or is it the same ole, just suspended. In other words, does the novelty wear off real quick, are they just a pain in the ass or a new level of a good time?

I used to be kind of, but people change over time. Maybe take her to some conventions so she can see that it's not one big fuck-fest. My theory is, he can look all he wants, just can't touch, unless we're at a strip club and both getting lap dances.
