![]() I'm giving my dad my current laptop so I am looking for the next one.
The new Macbook Pro doesn't have buttons on the trackpad. How is the feel? That looks like it would take a lot of getting used to. Is it worth getting or should I just grab another PC or maybe even a closeout Macbook Pro with the old touchpad?

I have a launch Macbook Pro. The touchpad was fucking horrible. Apple released an update to it shortly after that improved it alot.
It takes some getting used to. I was used to resting my thumb on the buttons...and doing that on the new trackpad can cause some problems depending on how you rest it and where. I'm on my Macbook now and I'm using a mouse. I mean it's not that bad...but give yourself at least a month to adapt.

That's kinda what I was thinking. I'm not big on using a mouse with laptops.
If you had to do it again, would you have bought one?

I have the last generation mbp and love the touchpad. I like the fact that it is pretty big, and I can easily scroll up/down and sideways etc.

So I guess this new ones grown on me. But as I'm sitting here at my desk on my laptop I'd much rather be using a mouse.
