Caffeine has a more damaging effect on you than you think.....

First, caffeine is a vasoconstictor (it shrinks your blood vessels) thereby, it increases your heart rate and blood pressure. This is why caffeine is so effective for treating headaches.

Second, caffeine is also a diuretic (it makes you pee).

Therefore, if you are already dehydrated, then the caffeine will not have enough blood volume to shrink down the vessels to increase your blood pressure, and the caffeine will increase your dehydration to make you more tired.

Tip: this is what I do. Drink at least 3 to 4- 8 ounce glasses of water before drinking one cup of coffee. You will run to the bathroom in 20 minutes, but you see that you will have more pep and energy and use the 3 to 4 rule with every cup. You will find that you need less coffee to give you more energy

This is definitely true. in the morning i would usually eat a small breakfast and wash it down with 1 or 2 cups of coffee then feel like i was going to go into a coma 30 minutes later.

The only reason i noticed when i wasnt getting tired was because i was drinking water before and after coffee. i get really bad acid reflux and this would sometimes help out.

I dont know the scientific reason, but i figured it was something along this line

Drink 24 to 32 ounces of water before coffee? I dont drink that much water in a day unless I make a point of standing in front of the sink with my big water cup. I've been hooked on coffee since I was 13 or so.
My plan is to buy a can of decaf and mix it with the regular until I'm drinking almost total decaf. Why can't I do that lol

I dont know if this will help you, but with bad cases of Acid Reflux its sometimes attributed to a faulty Thyroid. Ask your Dr to give you a simple blood test to make sure its working, if its under active it can cause massive acid reflux problems

But instead of coffee i drink GREEN TEE! Its much better cause green tee holds you a whole day long(cause it have caffeine), but your body absorbs it much easily!
And GREEN TEEN have longer effect then coffee!

Coffee is just hit and run! Just hit you in the head and thats it, after 20-30 minutes you are feeling like shit!

As for the green tea, I noticed this too, it's healthy and keeps you happy but you'll crave coffee. Coffee is more flavorful then boring green tea.
