U.S. military on alert in Hawaii over possible N. Korea missile

WASHINGTON ? The United States has positioned more missile defenses around Hawaii as a precaution against a possible North Korean launch across the Pacific, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said Thursday. "We do have some concerns if they were to launch a missile to the west in the direction of Hawaii," Gates said.

Gates told reporters at the Pentagon he has sent the military's ground-based mobile missile system to Hawaii, and positioned a radar system nearby. Together the systems theoretically could detect and shoot down a North Korean missile if it came to that.

"Without telegraphing what we will do, I would just say ... we are in a good position, should it become necessary, to protect Americans and American territory," Gates said.

A Japanese newspaper reported Thursday that North Korea might fire its most advanced ballistic missile toward Hawaii around the Fourth of July holiday.

A new missile launch ? though not expected to reach U.S. territory ? would be a brazen slap in the face of the international community, which punished North Korea with new U.N. sanctions for conducting a second nuclear test on May 25 in defiance of a U.N. ban.

North Korea spurned the U.N. Security Council resolution with threats of war and pledges to expand its nuclear bomb-making program.

The missile now being readied in the North is believed to be a Taepodong-2 with a range of up to 4,000 miles (6,500 kilometers), and would be launched from North Korea's Dongchang-ni site on the northwestern coast sometime around July 4, Independence Day in U.S., the Yomiuri newspaper said.

It cited an analysis by Japan's Defense Ministry and intelligence gathered by U.S. reconnaissance satellites.

It's a good fucking thing North Korea doesn't have oil. We would have been in there so fucking fast to "liberate them," their little zipper heads would have spun right off their malnutritioned bodies.

My plan for North Korea:

1) Someone needs to grow a pair and go get those two reporters out of there. We have Special Forces who are trained and live for this shit. Send them in.

2) Give that little gook one fucking warning and let him know in the clearest language possible, to STAND DOWN.

3) Tell China that we ARE going to attack North Korea and they, the Chinese, have one chance to step in and talk some sense into Kim Jung-il. Then tell them to stay out of our way, we're not fucking around. Offer them the land of North Korea should we have to level it.

4) Order US troops and South Korean troops and citizens to flee the DMZ and evacuate any areas bordering North Korea.

5) If he does not stand down and China fails in their talks, strategically attack all North Korean military targets. I'm talking a full out BRUTAL attack of them unlike anything the world has ever seen, but not using nukes.

6) If that doesn't stop him, turn North Korea into a parking lot and give it to China for staying out of our way.

7) Pay for the clean up and the wounded who survive. Do something big for South Korea so they don't get pissed over us allowing China to claim North Korea.

8) Tell Iran they are next if they don't get with the program.

9) Announce we have just created a new super nuke that is 100x smaller and 1000000x more destructive than the ones we just used on North Korea, and tell the world we are not afraid to use it. Fuck ya!

10) Secure our place once again as the H.N.I.C. (literally) of the world, showing we have the balls to do what is needed if you threaten our country or people.

One of the multitude of problems with you fix is that Seoul will be leveled before our B-2's leave NK airspace, that is 6-9 million innocent civilians dead with in an hour. NK has the largest assembly of artillery pieces out any military on the planet and they are all with 50km of Seoul, sure we would take out some but they are estimated to have 13,000 pieces along the border.

Of course there will be some collateral damage as well as fallout, it's war, but we do our best to move EVERYONE out of those areas in advance. Give them plenty of time to evacuate any South Korean city that would be in danger.

We would have been in there so fucking fast to "liberate them," their little zipper heads would have spun right off their malnutritioned bodies. This nut job has nukes and is willing to use them. He has WMD's and abuses the North Korean people. Yet, he gets letters and sanctions. LOL The UN and the USA is a joke. My plan for North Korea: 1) Someone needs to grow a pair and go get those two reporters out of there. We have Special Forces who are trained and live for this shit. Send them in. 2) Give that little gook one fucking warning and let him know in the clearest language possible, to STAND DOWN. 3) Tell China that we ARE going to attack North Korea and they, the Chinese, have one chance to step in and talk some sense into Kim Jung-il. Then tell them to stay out of our way, we're not fucking around. Offer them the land of North Korea should we have to level it. 4) Order US troops and South Korean troops and citizens to flee the DMZ and evacuate any areas bordering North Korea. 5) If he does not stand down and China fails in their talks, strategically attack all North Korean military targets. I'm talking a full out BRUTAL attack of them unlike anything the world has ever seen, but not using nukes. 6) If that doesn't stop him, turn North Korea into a parking lot and give it to China for staying out of our way. 7) Pay for the clean up and the wounded who survive. Do something big for South Korea so they don't get pissed over us allowing China to claim North Korea. 8) Tell Iran they are next if they don't get with the program. 9) Announce we have just created a new super nuke that is 100x smaller and 1000000x more destructive than the ones we just used on North Korea, and tell the world we are not afraid to use it. Fuck ya! 10) Secure our place once again as the H.N.I.C. (literally) of the world, showing we have the balls to do what is needed if you threaten our country or people.
