Think Ill throw on the Breakfast Club DVD tonight, killer movie from the youth!
Especially when they get high! I think that movie made me wanna smoke dope before I was even old enough to know what weed was! Then I saw Fast Times At Ridgmont High and it was downhill ;)

Still so young. Back in the day he was one of the greats. He ruled the 80's.
Uncle Buck and Planes Trains & Automobiles. Films I have seen a hundred times and still enjoy. Some Kind of Wonderful. In my top 10 films of all time. The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, and Weird Science. Films that shaped my generation. He will be missed. John Hughes RIP |

Man, talk about movies that's have touched so many people in that era...some serious memories with his films. Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Some Kind Of Wonderful, Sixteen Candles, Weird Science...classics. His movies we're like a small addition to your childhood experience that stick with you forever. And if you ever think back to that time, one of those movies always seem surface in the background. The guy was a legend to have that kind of holding power. Even his choices of music for his films moved a generation. Can't believe it, sucks. RIP John Hughes

No one mentioned "National Lampoon's Vacation" yet - one of the funniest movies ever, imho...
Even more amazing is that John Hughes became a recluse for the past 15 years until his untimely death, at a relatively young age. I'm not sure what drove him to that... I would be interested to hear the story about his last years. Creative people need to remain creative to survive (well, at least that's my theory). damn, i forgot Some Kind of Wonderful - it's insane how many movies this guy wrote/directed in such a short period. I forgot She's Having a Baby too.
um...... this death bums me out more than Michael Jackson. These movies bring back so many memories of people i haven't seen in 20 years, dates, friends, even watching some of them with my parents. Buck Melanoma Adventures in Babysitting was also a Hughes movie I think but he didn't direct.
