yeah, I was going to mention this in the opening post but forgot... if the user is new then you get lifetime but if he is an existing member you still get the 2 weeks comission like before so honestly it's really the best of both worlds because it is the SAME referrer code you use to send the surfer so you really cant lose.

yeah, I think they are going to get a lot of new signups... lifetime revshare was a big stumbling block before for most people and I personally have been fairly vocal on thier boards that they should impliment it so I think they made the right decision.

As far as I'm concerned, the whole account stealing and cookie bullshit was fucked.
And I know of two PPS signups I had that weren't counted.
One was some guy I got drunk with and got him to sign up on his new computer.
I talked to them about it and nothing.
They owe me at least $200 and very probably $300-$500.
Fuck them.

If they were that much of an "honest program" they would have changed it years ago.

And retroactively converted all existing it's-been-2-weeks-this-is-now-ours accounts back to the referring affiliate.

A loyal AWE affiliate is basically starting from square one, whereas other lifetime revshare programs are still paying out gravy long after the affiliate stopped sending. I make significantly more than an average wage just on existing members at another program.

I really dont understand that. I heard someone say last year they did not like them and mentioned something similar but I have been promoting them for 3-4 years and had ONE chargeback. Granted I guess you are saying that if they were to mess with the cookies than I would not have made the sale to begin with but as I said I generally make a sale every 100 or so uniques I send them... by contrast when I first started out I joined webcams.com and Imlive as well and threw about 1,000 uniques at each and did not make 1 sale... so who's really more trustworthy?

Judge for yourself... if you had a bad experience with them I am not discounting your experience and anything is possible but based on my experience of promoting cams for nearly 4 years no one even COMES CLOSE to thier sales ratio... not even in the same universe. Even if hypothetically they did shave at one point, they dont seem to now and even if they did still in some way I still make more with them than with the other programs so it's still a net positive for me. Seems like all programs do it and supposing you could point to examples of other programs that you believe dont, you really cant know unless you are the administrator of that program so I have to judge by my overall sales to traffic ratio to decide and in that regard AWE is #1

I also wanted to mention that this new cookie system will be across ALL AWE sites so if you promote live jasmin for example and cookie a surfer and a few days he buys at joy yourself or one of the other AWE sites you still get paid so that is a new addition as well-

You can't possibly be serious, funniest post ever. AWE has never shown to be an honest program. They've always called their program "revshare", even though it only paid for 14 days unlike every other cam sponsor calling their program revshare. It wasn't till they were called out on their own forum for the 14 day cookie that they finally hid it in their terms and opened up about what they were doing. New webmasters signing up to their program never knew about their 14 day revshare and just assumed revshare meant lifetime like every other cam sponsor.

When affiliates found out about this they felt duped and have been screaming for lifetime revshare for 4 years, so to say they care about affiliates is laughable. Even now, the 20% is at the bottom tier of cam sponsor payouts. If you've been promoting them over the years you've been leaving money on the table, sure they have great tools, lots of models and the short term conversions are decent, but a 30% lifetime revshare sponsor would have given you a nice build up of residual income and the possibility to hit it big with a long term whale.

I am happy about it because unlike the majority of adult webmasters who just churn around the same old TGP surfer bums looking for free shit I am a SEO consultant so the overwhelming vast majority of my traffic comes from the search engines. Most of my surfers have never even heard of AWE. One one of my sites I dont even trade hardlinks or traffic with anyone at the moment.

As for the ratios specifically. Not a chance. I dont give a FUCK how big anyone is. I would not ordinarilly brag but since you bring it up I am one of the best SEO specialists around with nearly 10 years of being an SEO and have consistently beaten major corporations constantly. I had a film site (not adult) that I sold early this year for 20K that was on the FIRST page of Google for the keyword "films" - yes the single word.

You know how many fucking results come up for "films"??

TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY TWO *MILLION* - thats a 232 followed by 6 zeros- I was beating 231,999,995 other sites for that keyword.

I was beating Time Warner, Disney, Fox... EVERYONE... with the exception of 4 or 5 other sites that had been online for 10+ years with 10x the number of backlinks I had so really I could give a fuck who I go up against- for ANY keyword I can beat them if I put enough time and work into it.

There will always be new porn surfers unless babies stop being born and most of the people who search through Google et al have no clue of what a TGP even is much less surf them everyday looking for free shit so the "big boys" might get those guys sure but for people not in that endless loop of shit TGP traffic and who search new into Google, for me it's the best news I have had this year.

And this is a perfect example of a program that had a public relations fiasco on the boards, handled it horribly, made excuses that didn't hold water, ignored the affiliates requests and moved on like it never happened thinking "this wont hurt us long term..everyone will forget in 6 months and start promoting us again..blah blah blah"...just like we hear from every program that has some issue blow up in its face.

Here they are, years later trying to make amends and guess what, we haven't forgot what happened..what was said and how we were deceived.
We won't promote you now or ever because you tried to screw us.

You have zero credibility. We don't trust you.

This should be a lesson to all those smack talking program owners and reps..IT DOES affect your business, who chooses to do business with you and how much money you make.

Just like this skin..short term $ gains, in reality = long term gfy loss.

I'm not an AWE flunkie and you certainly are entitled to support whoever you want so I am not trying to pick a fight with you but I just cant help but notice the irony that even in your own example since gfy has now "gone to the dark side" in the opinion of so many here based on all the complaints I have seen today about them skinning tube8 that since these tube sites are so dirty and this site supports them (i.e. takes thier advertising dollars) that if you were consistent in your position you would delete your account here and not support this site either since by your own admission you see a parallel between AWE's past stance and the current stance of GFY

The point isn't that they had 14 day revshare, its that they chose to hide it until they got called out by their own webmasters. Even then, one of their executives came on this board and said he felt affiliates should feel lucky they were even getting 14 days. So even after they came clean, they still never put anything on their site's program description telling prospective and current webmasters about the 14 day revshare. If you didn't read their board or catch one of the threads here, then you would never have known.

In the middle of all that, they decide to throw the big flop Live Sex Awards and spend a few million while their affiliates are screaming at them for deceiving them on the revshare. I've promoted cams for 11 years and sent traffic to just about every cam sponsor and I've never seen a cam sponsor be this shady. Why any affiliates would trust them with their traffic is beyond me.

As a loyal AWE affiliate this is definitely good news for you, but think about how much extra money you could have made over those past 10 years (well, probably a bit less, live cams were rareish in 1999) if you'd been sending your traffic to true revshare programs. Someone who signed up 5 years ago and only does a few sessions a year could have still netted you a couple of hundred bucks over that time.

Like I said earlier, AWE could have made it even better by reassigning the original referring affiliate to the account, but of course they're not going to do that. Lifetime revshare going forward is going to be a big enough hit to the bottom line.

Actually I have been a SEO for 10 years and a webmaster for 7 but only been promoting webcams for the last 3-4 years but yeah, BELIEVE ME, I get your point. I just logged into my AWE stats panel last night and looked back at all the WHALES I sent them that I no longer get anyhting from and it made me sick to my stomach. No ones understands your point more than me - trust me on that one.

I guess my point was that I would rather have 2 weeks of comissions than zero which is what I got with the other sponsors I tried but maybe I did not give the other guys enough of a chance however I routinely see people posting that thier average sales ratio with the other cam sites is over 1:1,000 or worse which is simply unacceptable. Like I said before on average I make a sale every 50-100 uniques I send them although it varies however I have never reached 1,000 or even 500 uniques sent without a sale so...

One thing to note about that is that with this new program once the initial cookie is set, the customer is attached to your account in the database so beyond the initial setting of the cookie you would not have to worry about the customer deleting the cookie when they clean out thier cookies.

I also forgot to mention earlier that apparently they have done away with the flat rate PPS cookie which I think is great because before you had to choose whether to do revshare or paypersignup, but if you chose paypersignup and a surfer clicked through to the site and buys credits but was already a member you did not get anything. This way you are covered either way because under the new program if the surfer is an existing member you get 30% for 2 weeks, but if they are new you get 20% for life but the important thing is that it is the SAME cookie so this way you have your bases covered and as long as the customer you referred buys something, just my opinion.

Sorry, there was so many posts before I realized I did not answer your question. Keeping in mind I am not an AWE rep or anything... as of this writing, officially it is still 10% but several people posed that question to Mickey on thier boards and asked if the whitelabel would be bumbped up to 20% as well and while he did not address that question specifically, he did mention to the people who had asked that particular question that further announcements regarding the changes would be forthcoming so if I had to guess I would say it's definitely possible that they increase whitelabels to 20% as well but thats a pure guess on my part.

And I know of two PPS signups I had that weren't counted. One was some guy I got drunk with and got him to sign up on his new computer. I talked to them about it and nothing. They owe me at least $200 and very probably $300-$500. Fuck them.

glamourmodels Confirmed User Industry Role: Join Date: Apr 2007 Posts: 2,121	I also forgot to mention earlier that apparently they have done away with the flat rate PPS cookie which I think is great because before you had to choose whether to do revshare or paypersignup, but if you chose paypersignup and a surfer clicked through to the site and buys credits but was already a member you did not get anything. This way you are covered either way because under the new program if the surfer is an existing member you get 30% for 2 weeks, but if they are new you get 20% for life but the important thing is that it is the SAME cookie so this way you have your bases covered and as long as the customer you referred buys something, just my opinion. __________________ Hot london escorts and international escort directory
