Problems of the 2000's that requires an international action/help
Economic crisis ("the biggest since 1929")
Computer hacking & internet (international laws) Global warning (not really new, but suddently this is important for everyone) Pollution (not really new, but suddently this is important for everyone) Terrorism (afghanistan, irak (in palestine), yemen, soudan, tchetchenia, US, europe) Gas problems with russia that involves europe The 2004 tsunami ("the deadliest in recorded history") Hurricane katrina (?) Nicolas Sarkozy (i'm serious, this guy needs help) The earthquake of Haiti Price of oil/wheat Pirates of somalia Money of some international companies (like google, or some fiscal schemes) |

Now that you mentioned it, the 2000s really opened up a new era of INTERNATIONAL problems. Add to your list, many earthquakes in Asia (China and indonesia, among others)

(Off course) earthquakes are not news themselves, what is new is imo the fact that every big problems is now international.
China is... China and a chineese problem is still not international (excepted for chineese toys). I add to my list the 'swine flu'. Another old problem with a new international solution. |
