Visa Compliance Group
I am new to adult and it seems like I keep hitting road blocks. Makes me wonder if it's worth it. First, BLA accuses me of bad clicks/impressions (which was completely false) and I provided them with log files and everything they wanted and they kept claiming they never received my emails and eventually said it can't be verified, so they banned me. Fine, I was only on track to making $100 per month by coving my site with their hard core ads. So, I decided to start charging people to view my content...
Signed up with Zombaio and was completely happy with their service. Two weeks after processing with them I get a notice that they received a complaint from the Visa Compliance Group and that my site would likely be rejected in a few days. Well 6 days later (today) I received an email saying that my site was officially rejected by the Visa Compliance Group and that they gave no reason for the decision. Ok, I figured, well I will need to find another processor for Visa transactions.... Nope, Zombaio completely banned the website from processing with them at all... which I don't understand. Questions: 1. Once a site has been rejected by VCG, can it be resubmitted for consideration again? I figure that I can sign up for another processor and it will be submitted again. But, can the same processor (Zombaio) resubmit the same website? 2. Before I sign up for another processor, I need to really understand what is wrong with my site so I don't just get rejected again. Searching this forum tells me that it is very illusive and that VCG doesn't share their rules (where's the logic in that?). The only thing I could find on GFY is a list of 3 words that you cannot have on your site ('preteen', 'lolita', and 'pedo'). My site is user generated content, and I found that I did have 'preteen' used as a tag on 2 videos and 'lolita' used in the description of one. All 3 instances were cases of keyword stuffing and had nothing to do with the content. I removed these words 6 days ago when I first got the notice, but I guess it was too late. 3. Besides certain banned words, what are some other rules you must follow to be compliant with Visa? For instance, do I need the standard "you must be at least 18 years old to enter this site" splash page to be compliant, even if you cannot view any content without signing up? Basically, I would like any and all information anyone has on this. Would be nice if we could compile a list of words/rules all in one place. Thanks for your help!! |

Probably banned because of jailbait content. Another guess.

thats a novel idea charge your users for their user submitted content.
Visa likes you to have legal docs and model releases of all models for all videos. with out it no one will process for you. good luck

So, your saying Visa will not process for a user submitted content site, since that type of site is exempt from record keeping? I don't think this is true. There are sites very similar to mine (have a lot of the same videos) that process with Visa without a problem.

Am I missing something? I have a 2257 on my site. Again, it is my understanding that this type of site is exempt from record keeping since I did not produce any of the videos.

your site might be considered a 'grey area' by you or others for a few reasons (user submitted, non-nude, etc). but visa doesn't play that game. they'll just shut you down if they're not 100% sure. many sites like yours do not charge people to view for that exact reason. i used to help run a site that was all user submitted content, and processed via epoch. everyone who submitted a gallery or video, we made them send in documentation before they could post. and then, all galleries & videos were reviewed & approved by hand. we had to reassure epoch several times over that this was the process and that it would always be the process, no exceptions, before they, and eventually visa, approved it. and i'm sure visa was watching it like a hawk. you can probably resubmit again after some adjustments are made. but aside from visa issues there's gotta be some other legal pitfalls with charging membership for user submitted vids. you might wanna switch back to ads

their bases look more covered. look at their terms in comparison to bootyshake.tv (assuming that's the OP's site). and whats going on in the back end? some of those "user submitted videos" might be added by the company and backed by docs (a la all the legal exgf/exbf sites)

Your site is flying 'pre-teen' and 'lolita' descriptions, and you wonder why visa:
a) Doesn't pass it b) Doesn't want to have anything to do with it. If those keywords managed to 'slip past' your 'compliance' checks, doesn't bode well for the content.. |

As far as other videos uploaded by my users, I don't rigidly check them. If I do see something that's not right, I do remove the video and warn the user. This has only happened a few times. My website has been free for the over a year and I have been charging for only 3 weeks. I guess when I started charging I wasn't aware of anything special I needed to do. |

I appreciate the feedback. So, it is just because some of the girls look young that Visa may not like it? I find it hard to believe that someone from the visa compliance group sat there and looked through thumbnails on my site. Did I did my own grave by allowing all of my content pages to be viewable, as apposed to the standard tour and join page?
I have put a lot of time into this site over the past year and would really like to make some money from it, legally. If this was your site, what would you do? Seems like there are a lot of user submitted content sites that charge. One big one is clips4sale, and all their 2257 says is that they are exempt... and they are selling the content directly. Is it possible that Visa is more strict with sites that are on a service like Zombaio, versus sites that go though something like CCBill and pay the $750 fee? If I did try to sign up with someone else and pay the Visa fee, would I get the fee back if it was rejected? Or would they tell me this time what exactly the problem was and let me fix and resubmit? |

The terms "pre-teen" and "lolita" will automatically get you shut off by Visa compliance.
