Well, I still remember it... there were yahoo, msn, hotbot, altavista.... and local search engines... there were many alternatives and it was cool.

Luckily, I lived next to a library when I was young. My parents also bought a Britannica Encyclopedia set. I had Prodigy Internet when it first came out. The I surfed the web using LYNX. Knowledge has always been out there it is just a matter of access.
