gotwebhost and baddog - for the record

I came to the board too late to weigh in on the drama from earlier. I really wish I'd have been able to contribute to that discussion. All I can share is my own experience.

I've been a client for more than 4 years. I have what is currently called the SEO 48C package. Baddog has always been helpful, even when I ask ridiculously stupid questions. I make a very good living in SEO and the primary reason this is possible is because of gotwebhost.

The original poster for the drama thread was sharing second hand information that doesn't resemble my own experience in the least. I'm telling you what has been my personal experience.

A guy doesn't stay with a company for 4+ years if he's not happy.

What specifically did gotwebhost provide you with that improved your search engine standings?

Honestly, if you need someone to spell that out you're not really ready for an SEO host. I used to ask similar questions and couldn't get answers. When I finally figured shit out for myself I understood why: it's valuable information.

The purpose of starting this thread is to share my personal experiences with GWH after reading the drama thread that has since been locked. I can only tell you how I've been treated. Lloyd (baddog) has been nothing but helpful to me. I've made a great living doing what I do, and GWH is the company I've chosen to put food on my table. Staying with them for over 4 years says something.

What did he do for you? Waste more ipv4 address space and bind your shitty websites to addresses dispersed across 90 different /30 blocks?

You haven't shared any of your experience. You've just provided vague feedback that probably doesn't relate to your webhost in any sort of way.

Being as I make 6 figures a year doing what I do, trust me when I say GWH is vital to my business. I have yet to fail getting into the top 10 for any search term I've targeted. That is a fact, my friend.

How much per month did you start with? Was he as helpful on the low end as he is on the high end of that pay scale? Seems to be the lying issue in the other thread.

No, I don't care to show anybody anything. Why make an unnecessary target out of my work?

And to ask a question posed by another person:
I started with nothing when I signed up with GotWebHost. My business was brand new.

Because: I think the purpose of your thread is to show GWH is worth every penny. So if you want to convince us, why would it be that hard to post just 1 single link of your work?

Dont get me wrong, i love bd, but to make a thread like this is like saying "xxxfuckmehard" is converting 1:10 without showing anything to prove it.

Hope you can backup your awesome seo work, you might be able to get a lot of work from here if you can. If you cant, oh well, just another promothread..

If I was looking for more work, I just might do as you suggest. Since I'm quite content with my business as is, there is no compelling reason to reveal the way I do the things I do.

This thread is to be taken as you wish to take it. The purpose is strictly to say, "I am a customer, and I am happy with the quality of the service I've received." That is all. Make of that what you will.

I'll describe one example. My very first client wanted to move a certain product that had been stockpiled in inventory. He had instructed his managers not to order any more of this product because it just didn't sell well. I told him I would see what I could do to use the internet to solve this problem.

Not even two months later, we had the number one spot on google for the product name. It has been nearly 4 years later, and we have fallen from our number one position down to number two, one step behind the manufacturer's official website (which we had overtaken for quite some time).

As of 30 seconds ago when I last check, my client has the following positions in the top 10 google results page:

Result numbers 2, 4, 5, 8, and 10. On the second page of results (11-20) my client holds positions 16 and 20. We show up on the third page of results as well. I haven't looked at the fourth page yet.

The reason I was able to achieve those results (and literally sell all of this client's inventory - which he continues to re-order from the manufacturer to this date) is because of the strategy I use, made possible by GotWebHost.

I assure you, I'm not baddog. If you used a little brain power you could see that for yourself. It's not hard to insert code into your sig that allows you to see the IP addresses of posters. If it's important enough to you, figure it out and see for yourself.

Hosting helps SEO. Riveting tale, chap.

So you are more or less saying that you cross linked a bunch of garbage links to shit nobody wants and suddenly there was a "rush" of surfers looking for your "client's" crap?

Re-order shme-order. Something stinks in this thread, and it isn't my ass.

Just to interject: GWH provides a tool. Simply moving your sites there is probably not going to do a lot unless you were moving from a bad neighborhood or something.

Hosting is just part of the equation.

Simply because you lack all the data needed to understand the situation does not mean that filling the data holes with your own assumptions is in order. Don't take "didn't sell well" to mean "nobody wants". It is said that assumption makes an ASS of U, and in this case that would be correct. This client happens to be in a small town in the middle of nowhere, running a "brick and mortar" business (not literally brick and mortar - thought I'd spell that out so you don't make another assumption). Your assumption that I cross linked garbage is also incorrect. My cross links all contained relevant and valuable information, and when a customer arrives at any of these linked sites/pages he or she will find all the information necessary to begin the purchase process.

Not sure if gotwebhost has any 'real' clients... baddog is in the middle of collecting his old timers pension so he doesn't need to make money online... (and he doesn't... except when he's suckered someone into paying him 500$/hour for 'seo advice')

Not hating on Baddog, GWH, or you for that matter, but I can achieve the same results on my normal host, so what does a "SEO host" have over a normal host? Is what mlove is trying to say.

A good SEO host can provide you with more different Class C's than you will find at any one "normal" host. If you have the need for more C's than your "normal" host can provide, an SEO host may be a better option.

It is amusing that I keep reading people [not you] say that they can do the same thing by getting accounts with multiple hosts. They are right. I have NEVER argued that they were not. It comes down to convenience. Our clients typically have a ton of sites. When building your own networks, rather than trading links with people that take them down without telling you or other b.s. they can do their own link building.

People that manage their clients websites also use SEO hosts to keep their clients separated.

Not everyone needs or has use for SEO hosting, but many do.

While I know the spin you would like to put on his comment, in a way, he is right. When people contact me about SEO hosting the first thing I have to determine is do they need it. When someone asks me why they need multiple C's, my first impression is that they don't. That is when I suggest one of our standard dedicated servers, which start at only $99/mo.

A clear majority of the people that come to us know why they are there. I do not have to sell the product. I just have to sell us.

I have used Gotwebhost for years now, its one of those hosts I would have not fucking idea of what domains I have on them nor even how to log in................ this is because it has all worked so perfectly for me I have never had to.. can't think of a better recommendation to give anyone

I have used multiple hosts, its a nightmare, most and up and down more than I take a crap

Gotwebhost, conepuppy, nationalnet and even to some extent bluegravity these are all hosts that excel at what they do, care about their customers, minimize downtime... I'd recommend any of them, but Gotwebhost is the only one out of them offering serious solutions to issues that anyone doing seo in bulk might need.

Okay, then I apologize for the confusion. No one [with any intelligence] is going to risk their rankings by showing them off on GFY. If you can't understand that then you are not half the pirate you are pretending to be.

If you are making money, it is not because of "seo hosting" there is no such thing. It is snake oil. You would have to be crazy to think google doesnt know where ip's originate. And class c's went the way of the dodo bird years ago, there is no such thing anymore.

carry on.

I understand that, so i welcome him to icq and have a talk. If he really is all about seo, im pretty sure we can teach eachother some neat tricks.

Again, im not here attacking you, i believe in your seo hosting.

It is still unclear whether baddog is good or bad.
