Shooters, HELP!!!!!!!!PART II (video clip)
Ok, I took the advice given on the last video and made a new clip (scroll to bottom of pag for movie). Set the camera on auto and got a 500w construction light, and it is much better I think. I had to order a wide angle lens from Singapore and it will take about a week to receive it.
Please check out the new clip and give me feedback as to the best ways to improve the quality. I want to use these videos to create a paysite for current and future customers of an escort service. I am worried about the lack of sound if that is important, because most of these girls speak very little English. Any pointers will be really appreciated!

I know all about bootleg shooting in Asia.
By looking at your one image, your white balance is a mess. Hit me up on ICQ and I'll get you squared away. 201563471 |

i watched the clip and i would advise a few things.
1)drop the construction light 2)if you are looking for low budget decent lighting get some "china balls" http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/cinemasupplies_2117_478428369- you put normal light bulbs (150 watt max in the paper ones) in the middle and hang them- the light looks great and its even all around. 3)if you have a little budget try a chimera box- http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...ith_Skirt.html more pro even lighting and can withstand more temperature. 4)if you are stuck with the construction light try bouncing it off a large white surface onto your subject. you could buy a big piece of foamcore for instance or even a large piece of cardboard, paint it white. thing is, you might need two construction lights to bounce sufficient light at this point, depends on the area you want to light.

also collapsable reflectors are awesome for getting max bounce, and inexpensive.

one more thing, always better if you can shoot during the day if you have a good room with decent natural light coming in you can use reflectors and get great looking footage.

You've got balls banging that chick without a condom if she's a hooker.
As everyone else has said - whitebalance. Also lighting, you can get cheap soft boxes for 150-200 bucks and that will help throwing a more natural light than a construction light. |

What are your thoughts about sound? I know I should script these clips out and have some dialogue, but I am not sure exactly where to start.

I will try to difuse the light more and see if that helps. Unfortunately where I am, camera supply stores aren't around. I have to travel a day or so to get them.... and I will once I know what I am doing...thanks for the suggestion!

A big improvement on what you did before, even the girl looked more interested.
If you can afford better lighting go for it, if not bounce it off anything white. The only problem is the more you bounce the the more you reduce the light. What's your budget and are your shooting in a country where shooting porn is legal? Could make a difference, the more light the greater the chance of attracting attention. Work on your light balance. IMO you need a script, does not need to be much but it gives the scene some meaning an identity. If only filming the girl walking along the street. Also has to have sound. |

Although I have a large residence and lots of privacy where I am,
I have to be careful Paul where I shoot (Muslim country). My budget is about $4000 that I can spend on equipment but I was not sure what I needed. To buy good photography equipment I have to go into Singapore and it's a big deal for me to leave and come back with my immigration status. So I prefer to know what I am doing and what I need before I go. I am much closer after getting so many good tips. Sound- what is the ideal setup? The mic on the camera is ok, but it sounds like I am shooting in a closet sometimes. Thanks!

You need a separate mic from the camera IMO. Problem will be the socket and the lead. Or a good camera with a good mic.
But if you're shooting pro/am it's not so necessary. Giving the girls some identity and personality is. Make them have lots of fun. |

if the model has either a)accessory shoe with mic input or b)xlr input you are in good shape. with accessory shoe you can either get a shotgun microphone that has a mini plug connection or you can buy a beachtek adapter (70 bucks) which plugs into the mini plug and has an xlr plug in for very good sound. you would then need a good 20ft sound cable with xlr and a good shotgun microphone. a very good shotgun mic is the Sennheiser ME66 for K6 series which is around 400 bucks (varies) complete. but there are excellent shotguns for around 150.00 as well such as the Azden series which i've had great luck with.
