So CashX debit card has no cardholder name on it?

And how do you prove it's your card in case it will be necessary?

You phone Mastercard or the issuing bank and they will tell the merchant as your name is attached to the card when assigned to you.

I am not sure if alot of stores would actually take the time to verify ... Might want to just use it at ATM's

It is against Visa / MC regulations to require ID when using a credit card.

It has been like that for as long as I can remember. A lot of stores / clerks don't know any better or don't care but if you make a fuss and / or turn them in they'll shape up.

It's also against their regulations to charge an extra fee for using a credit card or having a minimum purchase.

Stores look at the signature on the back of the card first, if used as a credit card replacement. If they say something, just PIN the transaction and be done with it!! Now a days, you are even asked to PIN your credit card at some stores, so no big deal!

Yeah, you do have to have your card signed if you don't want to show ID.

I can see that happening here, they'd most probably cut the card up.

The same as you would any other card, the card is linked to your details.

Don't use this service.. Here is my ICQ log with them..

XX_RydeR6:23 AM
URLHAMMER6:24 AM
what can I do for you
URLHAMMER6:30 AM
so what about my account then??

XX_RydeR6:30 AM
What about it?
URLHAMMER6:31 AM
sorry but I can't upload an ID with my numbers visable.. that won't happen.
I dont give out my personal numbers
XX_RydeR6:31 AM
Then I'm sorry too.
URLHAMMER6:32 AM
ok cancel my account then bro... I'll use Paxum, there is no reason you need my ID or driver's license number..
you can't even mail me my PIN number for address verification..
XX_RydeR6:32 AM
I'm not here to fight with you.
URLHAMMER6:33 AM
next thing you'll want is my check routing numbers and account numbers, no way.
XX_RydeR6:34 AM
Please send any further communication through the support system.
URLHAMMER6:34 AM
I don't mind you verifing my address, but I do not give out my important numbers like that.. I have nothing to hide, but I just dont.
why do I have to use the support system? so you can ignore my emails? if this is how you operate I'm glad I'm closing my account. Please delete my information then on file ok?
URLHAMMER6:35 AM
are you going to delete the account then?
XX_RydeR6:36 AM
As I said, please send your communications through the support system.
I'm not going to fight with you, you're clearly angry.
URLHAMMER6:37 AM
why? you have an ICQ address that you posted?? I'm simply asking you to delete my account and delete or shred my document ok?
URLHAMMER6:38 AM
ok I will log in then since you can't or won't answer any questions here in ICQ, and submit a request then to cancel my account. This is not a good first impression of your business.
URLHAMMER6:39 AM
bye

He is pretty smart, he knows I'm going to post the icq log online, so he doesn't say much. This tells me they are shady in some way or unwilling to help online, so I don't think I want my money going there. He kept his answers short or didn't answer at all. He wouldn't even respond when I asked him to delete my account that I would be walking away. Nice...

Honestly, I can't see where XX_RydeR did any mistake. He is right when he told you clearly are angry and there no point fighting with you on ICQ. Sorry, but you are the one who acted like a retard there.

Oh and btw, guess what - Paxum wants your ID scan, too

I don't think I acted like a retard, I was only asking him questions, questions that I previously asked him in the thread about how we was going to use my numbers to verify me. If I select verification through snail mail (a pin number) and my photo ID info matches why would they need my DL number unless they are trying to run a credit check or something or check your police record (which I don't have) but still. I wasn't trying to fight with him either, the ICQ log shows that I was asking him fair questions, and he didn't want to respond. What type of customer service is that? when after 2-3 weeks of leaving me hanging and not emailing me to re-upload my ID??

If they didn't leave me hanging, and emailed me right away I would have just canceled the account last week or considered uploading the ID again, if he had given me a good reason why he wants my DL number that is?

Someday when your a victim of identity theft you'll have the same views, opinions and feelings that I have. Lets just hope it doesn't happen to you. Also looks like they have more then one username on GFY, I hope that can be looked into my Eric.

Ok, first of all you started your conversation with "what about my account then" - I'd start it like "hi, I'm urlhammer from GFY, my cashx ID is XXXXX and I have the following problem. .... can you please look into that".

Then you didn't ask questions, you told him what you won't do and he told you that this does not comply with his company's policy, after that you were acting totally pissed off.

About the ID No. - dunno about how a US ID looks like, but over here you need the ID number to verify that the document is real and not some photochopped bullshit. So yeah, I perfectly understand that they need this ID.

Last but not least, it's just uncool to post private conversations without knowledge/agreement of all persons involved on a public forum.

I didn't start the conversation properly no, because he had added me to his ICQ, I tried talking to him, then he didn't respond so I blocked him. Then I unblocked him and tried to give him another chance and then he responded, then my conversation went as fit..

As I stated, he knew who I was because of the questions I asked him in the other thread about CashX so when he added me he knew what he was doing and who I was..

I won't explain myself on this issue anymore, I did finally send in a support ticket, but it was to cancel my account.

If an operation and dialog can't run smooth then what's the sense in using the service. If I go to my dentist and he doesn't explain to me what he's doing, then I go to another dentist. (simple as that). He can come in here with all the usernames he wants, but he's the one that wanted to play dumb or not answer my questions in ICQ. As I said he knew what he was trying to avoide which was me posting the conversation and I have to admit he did it well. Conversations yes are private, but if something shady is going on, the world must know.

He should have just explained the policy and answered my question as to why I (US citizen) has to upload my DL numbers to him.

Sorry but once they get your DL numbers, your account numbers and your address people can pretty much steal your identity. I am trying to avoid this fiasco for a 2nd time in my life. As it is I have to shred about 2 pounds of papers a week before I throw out the trash. (Something I hate doing) but I realize now that it has to be done after going through what I went through.

As I also said, 3 weeks went by and I didn't even get my PIN numbers, to which he stated he was going to "get on that" and send them to me to verify my address through snail mail. Like I said, if you can't accomplish something like that as a business payment service, something is wrong. How do I know they will send my check to me?

Maybe someone else has a good experience with them, and they can surely voice that but coming in here calling me a retard for the conversation I had with him is not fair. I never used bad language or insulted him. As a business person I want straight up questions answered (time is money). I don't have time to dick around.

All I know is, I run a popular mainstream eCommerce site and he just lost business.

A merchant is obligated by VISA/MC regulations to refuse payment until an unsigned card is signed in front of them.

Yeah, it was my misstake. I clicked the wrong place $95 is for express shipping. I will scan my ID later today and request the card. Then we'll see how long it take

urlhammer and anybody else who thinks that they will get these cards without proving their ids are in cloud cuckoo land.

Did you not learn anything from epassporte?

To survive as a prepaid card issuer cashx, payoneer, paxum whoever, has to make sure that they know who their customer is. If they try to take short cuts or make it too easy to get their cards, they will fail for sure.

quoted for truth...

people trying to hide their identities is what makes these systems fail and causes trouble for everyone else.

as far as i know epassporte failed cause people could give other people gift cards without ID verification - so please let's not start this all over again.

comply - or get lost and stick to checks.

First of all I wasn't trying to get a prepaid card, I was signing up to use their money by email service, I didn't want a card at all. I only wanted to transfer funds from the account to a paper check in the mail.

Anyway, I think it will take some of you all that are calling me dumb and an idiot to go ahead and sign up to their service and use them. Then you can come back in here a month from now and state your opinion on the service. So before calling me dumb or retarded or whatever, if you don't have an account with them and can't prove you use their service, then STFU and GFY.

Whats up with Paxum responding to CashX questions?????

Really? Seems to be SOP anywhere I have been. Why do they have you sign it then?

Only if it is over a certain dollar amount.

I did signup, dipshit. I also verified my account with not only drivers license, but address, and bank.

It was n accident on my part. I though they were talking about the $95 fee for Express Shipping that we charge, but realized too late that it was something different. This is what happens when you try to do a million things at the same time.

Good luck then let me know how it works out, you got a 0 balance, when you get money in it and you get paid let us know, I just hope some bloke doesn't get your info and opens credit cards with it. That happened to me once and it wasn't funny...
