I watched it, heard she got paid really well for it. I see it as a tool to start her campaign for POTUS in 2012. Right now I think more people like her than they like Obama.

Given her daughter is still on Dancing with the Stars, I think she's getting the Tea Party Vote.

I believe you mention the word "Obama" in almost every post you make, even when it isn't about Obama you find a way to make the connection.

I'm not a Palin fan - at all - but I thought that show was well put together. I think this is mostly because Alaska is amazing.

I also think this is a stepping stone for Palin to run for President. I really do hope so because I think it will be the funniest election ever.

It is about Obama, I was clearly drawing a comparison in popularity between the a possible GOP POTUS contender and the present POTUS. I'll try to use easier words next time so you can understand that!
Or are you thinking that not bringing up will make it better?

The reality show has nothing to do with Obama. Try again.

It looks like she and the president are pretty close. The LA Times has her favorable rating at around 46% and the president is around 44%

Here is the problem Palin has. Her unfavorable rating is at 49%. That is about 15 points higher than then next closest GOP contender when it comes to unfavorable rating. It also show that most people have already made up their minds about her and instead of convincing undecided voters to vote for her, she will have convince people who hate her to like her and that is not an easy task.

I still don't think she will run. She is having fun scaring the shit out of the GOP and making a lot of money. She is in a great place right now where she can comment and interject herself when she wants, but doesn't have to answer to other people. And if she thought she had it hard when she was the VP candidate, just wait until her fellow republicans attack her.

I read an article a few months back about what it really takes to be elected president. It is a nearly 2 year process where she will have to spend every moment that she isn't working campaigning and studying and working on her platform and I get the feeling she isn't up for that kind of grind.

All that said, I didn't watch her show. When I hear her voice it makes me what to claw my own ear drums out.

Her show was about Alaska, but I think she tried to sell it as whats she's about. Will she run, I think she will, I would like to have someone different running than her like Newt, but we will see.

It was a revolt when the democrat party took the house and senate, and then the presidency.

Then using the power of the Tea Party to energize the Conservatives and the GOP. Palin swings a lot of power with the Tea Party.

So end result, it's going to be what the POTUS does over the next 18 months and how the economy works and if the GOP and Barry can work together and get something done.
I still can't believe that Pelosi is still in charge of the dems, one more stupid thing they did.

I agree that it really is all about what Obama does over the next 18 months. I feel like if the economy is going good, he will win. He will be hard to beat and he will sell it as his ideas having worked. If the economy isn't going so well, he could be in trouble.

But you are dead on about Pelosi. Clearly the public handing power back to the republicans when just 2 year ago they threw them out on their ass was a way of saying there were unhappy with how things have gone. The continue with the same leadership (and Pelosi is a lightning rod) was a dumb move.

Regardless of who runs in 2012, the Age of Austerity will come to US shores. It HAS to, many of the entrenched sacred cow "entitlements" of the past are unsustainable. Many in Europe know this. Japan, with it's abysmal birth rate, knows this. 2012 is probably when Main Street America will wake up to this fact.

I was referring to Palin slamming Obama as a celebrity in 2008 campaign. Would be a bit hypocritical of her to run now But by all mean please let her run!

I don't think it's about "letting" her run. It very much looks like she is going to run in 2012.

All roads point to a Palin shot at the GOP nomination, and if that succeeds... well, you know.

Say it with me one more time. President Palin.

It flows.

I completely forgot about that comment she made. Here's her latest:

Mama Bear should put her dancing bear daughter Bristol on her Alaska show, and the episode should feature Sarah hunting with Dick Cheney, now THAT is when I might tune in and watch, mostly just to see which one Cheney would shoot in the face first...

I sat through the first episode to see what it would be like. It was like watching paint dry. She is making 1 million per episode which is 999k to much.

If she runs for president you can be pretty confident that those running against her will take every chance they get to remind people she is.

if anything this show should ruin her chances to run in 2012. how can you want someone in the whitehouse after seeing their "reality" show? What kind of politican would even have a reality show? maybe in 2016 all the candidates will have reality shows before running and we can choose based on who had the best ratings....a great way to ensure the future of the US is even worse than it is now.

This is all very depressing.

President Obama is a really smart guy.
Sarah Palin is a dumb-ass.

Unfortunately I think Palin is about to announce that she's going to run for president, and she's going to get an obscene number of people voting for her. She's a know-nothing do-nothing moron, and holy fuck she just might win. If you thought the US was fucked with George W Bush was president...

I don't know if she is going to run.

Right now she is making more money than she has ever made in her life...and you think she would want to put that on hold for 4-8 years?

Palin isn't going to run for president. She doesnt like to actually do the work. She likes the campaigning aspect. The being on tv with anything she says. The being paid to say you betcha at big rallies and coin phrases like mama grizzly with lipstick and heels and whatnot. Lets not forget her stated reason for quitting her last governing gig: to better serve the people (by being a pseudo political celeb).

Tried to watch a little of the show but dont find her family interesting in the least. Kind of like most TLC shows.

Scary that someone that doesn't hold an office can get more people in office than the POTUS can

As opposed to being on Comedy Central? The View? You're argument holds no water!

Sorry, couldn't get past the Obama was a really smart guy statement, he took the presidency and drove the unemployment rate to 10% and it stayed there even after spending a trillion dollars on it with a 1.3 trillion dollar budget deficit, he fucked over the country and you think he's brillant, but then you're from canada, so maybe you want the country to fail just like he seems to want.

lol, yes canadians want the US to fail. We don't depend largely on your economy at all. Do you even think?

and having your own reality show vs being a 20 minute guest on a "talk" show is no comparison.

I really hope she does run. Imagine her and Obama in a presidential debate? Talk about comedy! Obama would go off about the strategic arms & non-poliferation treaties he's signed with Russia, and Palin will respond with some brilliant remark like, "Yeah, well, this mama bear can see Russia from her house, and you can't!".

It's a great show that will no doubt boost Alaskan tourism. While the wife and I have already romped through a lot of the Alaskan coast (cruising the Inside Passage from Vancouver), watching this show makes us want to go back for another visit.

The show is a lot of fun :-)

A talk show on comedy central? I don't follow. I used the term "talk" show lightly. I've only watched those shows a couple times but from what I saw they sit down at a desk and talk back and forth. Pretty much the same format as any show, except the host tries to be funny. Anyways, I'm glad you agree that my idea to have all candiates have their own reality show to decide who our next president will be in 2016 is a good idea.

Yeah and the question will be , how about the economy? Obama will say spend a trillion dollars on it

How about Jobs? Obama will say. who's jobs?

He signed the treaties, but has he got them passed yet, NO
How about Gitmo closing Mr President?
How about Earmark spending Mr President?
Mr President, if you healthcare law is so good, how come you aren't covered by it? Why did the American Federation of Teachers get a waiver to stay out of it? Why is Walmart getting out of it?

Barry wasn't a candidate, he was the POTUS

the headlines, US President on Comedy Central Tonight
I guess it was the only venue that would take him seriously

wait wait wait... are you seriously defending the biggest retard EVER in politics (she's about a 100 times more retarded than bush)? That woman is crazy as fuck! Christ if she ever gets in a position of power than I will lose all hope for mankind. Bush nearly destroyed the whole world economy, i really dont want to think what will happen if that psychotic woman will have the power... absolute chaos.
