Dianne Feinstein on Trump: ?He is a good president?

With the economy booming, stock market on fire, tax reform getting handled by the Final Boss DT, even your dumb lib overlords are starting to fall in to place.. bowing down before Trump

Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein reportedly stunned a San Francisco crowd Tuesday evening after she called for “patience” with President Trump, saying the president can do good for the country if he learns from his mistakes.

Ms. Feinstein made the comments during an hourlong conversation with former Rep. Ellen Tauscher at a sold-out Commonwealth Club event in Herbst Theater. According to several reports, Ms. Feinstein was on the receiving end of hisses and boos when she took a more diplomatic approach to discussing the president and whether he should resign or be impeached.

“I think we have to have some patience, I do,” Ms. Feinstein, ranking member of the Judiciary Committee and a senior member on Intelligence, told the crowd. “It’s eight months into the tenure of the presidency … We’ll have to see if he can forget himself and his feelings about himself enough to be able to have the empathy and direction that this country needs.”

If he doesn’t, she said, “there are things that can be done.” She added, however, that Mr. Trump would most likely serve out the rest of his term.

“This man is going to be president most likely for the rest of this term,” Ms. Feinstein said. “I just hope he has the ability to learn and change. If he does, he can be a good president.”
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the crowd reacted to the comments with “stunned silence, broken only with scattered ‘No’s‘ and a few hisses and some nervous laughter.”

The Los Angeles Times reported that several audience members booed and shouted, “No!”
Ms. Feinstein did reserve some criticism for Mr. Trump, concerning his recent pardon of former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio, saying it sent a message to police departments across the country that racial profiling is OK, the Chronicle reported.

“It was a stupid thing to do,” the senator said.

Ms. Feinstein also criticized the president’s border wall with Mexico, saying money would be better spent sending aid to Hurricane Harvey victims.

Trump and Sessions have the dirt on Hillary and Obama's Uranium One deal. Sessions is blocking an FBI informant from testifying..... I believe as a bargaining chip against the dems.

Reading clearly isn't any of your strong points. She said, “I just hope he has the ability to learn and change. If he does, he can be a good president.”

Not

As an outsider who really couldn't give a hoot who's in power in the USA, but concerned about the over all political climate as it effects the rest of the world, where in fuck do you get ‘He is a good president’ from that article? Are you totally unable to read, absorb and process information in a written form?

Forgetting Trump, its the stupidity of those that supports him that strikes me the most, its like a blind faith religion.

Pretty sad that the only way Trump supporters can make a point is by flat out lying.

The economy and the stock market is booming not because of Trump, but because of Obama. Trump hasn't done anything. All of this - and everything else - happened under Obama. Trump is trying to take credit now for beating ISIS, although nothing changed there either. Trump's entire plan is "Do what Obama started, and then take credit for it". Don't believe me?

Trump promised to fix the VA. What's his plan? What has he done? Nothing.

Trump claims he made our military stronger.... Um, how? What has he done? Nothing.

Trump said he was going to fix the crime in Chicago. What has he done? Nothing. Not a damn thing.

Meanwhile his approval rating has dropped to it's lowest since he took office.

Since november 8th the market has increased 5.2 Trillion (over 25%) which has been boosted by Trump's repatriation tax and tax reform. Is it all from Trump, no, but you're lying or just ignorant to say some of it isn't from him.

If you want to see trumps decline, look to no other place than his Twitter account and likes on his posts and then say compare likes on Trumps posts, to Obamas

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump

https://twitter.com/BarackObama

Then research sites that look at how many fake accounts are following a person, for once Trump is a real winner!. 50%

The economy is not BOOMING.
Corporate profits are BOOMING because they CUT JOBS. There are no profits in JOBS ! And no tax collection either so your share of taxes goes up with each job loss.

The Stock Market is on fire because everyone is expecting to bring overseas money home without paying taxes on it. Spreading some extra love on the shareholders. But that money will be squandered by the company elite before the shareholder gets a much smaller share.

And with additional tax breaks that the working class will have to pay for 'at a later date', it's not so rosy of a outlook for me anyway.
I'll sell my stocks before everyone realizes it's not going to pay off they way they think and buy short options going forward.
I bow to nobody for anything except to take what I can get from the writing on the wall.
You can't make any money doing what everyone else is doing. They are wrong most of the time.

Quote:
[F]or decades, the conventional view among economists was that technological advances create as many opportunities for workers as they take away. In the past several years, however, research has begun to suggest otherwise. ?It?s not that we?re running out of work or jobs per se,? David Autor, an M.I.T. economist who studies the impact of automation on employment, said. ?But a subset of people with low skill levels may not be able to earn a reasonable standard of living based on their labor. We see that already.? As automation depresses wages, jobs in factories become both less abundant and less appealing.

This process, Autor and other economists argue, can also exacerbate inequality. The labor market is built around the idea of labor scarcity: each person has a bundle of labor?his or her own capacity to work?that employers need and that she can sell in the job market through employment during the course of a career of thirty years or so. That model is eroding. ?It doesn?t mean there?s no money around, but it?s just accruing to the owners of capital, to the owners of ideas,? Autor says. ?And capital is less equitably distributed than labor. Everyone is born with some labor, but not everyone is born with capital.? ...
Taking some profit (maybe all if tax deferred) but I would not short the stock market in the short term

I like TBT for shorting the US treasury bill market -- interest rates will rise no matter what probably.

LOL. What tax reform? He hasn't passed anything yet. Nothing. At all. He hasn't done anything.

You are giving him credit for something that hasn't happened yet.

We had seventy months of economic boom and unemployment dropping down, but yet suddenly everything is wonderful because Trump is in office.

Trump. Hasn't. Done. Anything. At. All.

Trump has yet to pass one major piece of legislation. Not one. Nearly one fourth of his term is over, and he has yet to pass one major piece of legislation. This Russian investigation is going to come full circle next year. Best case scenario is there is no actual collusion with the Russian government, but a number of people have charges filed against them including his top advisers. Trump's second year will be full of scandal and drama, and he will be unable to get anything done.

just like this is Trump! U have no issue criticizing trump when the country has negative impact like if the jobs numbers were bad it would 100% be Trumps fault, but they are good so you blindly hate trump so you are never able to recponize when he is going good or bad. it will alway be bad because you blindly hate him like an ex gdf that hurt you.

I didnt vote for trump but I have no issue saying he is doing a good job for the economy. Moral and human rights maybe no the best.

What has happened to you personally that has made your life worse unders Trump? Mine: has only improved.

In 2008 your government brought the world to its knees with a financial crisis everyone should have seen, if they had opened their eyes. How many politicians and bankers from that time are still in a job?

How many changes were made to ensure it doesn't happen again?

All of you Trump supporters who grew up watching the Nazi propaganda tapes, saying, "how did that ever happen?" Be Proud. Be very, very fucking proud. You are now those people. You are now the uneducated sheeple, living among the human ash and denying that you see anything wrong, while lies, distortions, and outright laughable provable bullshit is fed to you on a loop of right wing cable news and you suck it up like a mint julep on a plantation porch.

Many changes were made, but.. Trump has undone them, such as the Dodd-Frank regulations. Do note the very same day he got rid of them, he had lunch with J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. Chief Executive James Dimon and BlackRock Inc. CEO Laurence Fink and Gary Cohn.

Trump’s top economic adviser is head Jew, Gary Cohn, ex Goldman Sachs alumni.

But no conflict of interests there... move on USA is in good hands.

The brain is dense in this one.

Poor Rochard, you just don't understand how the market works.

So record stock profits are from cutting jobs? Are you even serious? What companies are booking massive profits by cutting jobs? list them.

Companies that are replacing those jobs/workers with robots.

Walmart announced not too long ago they were cutting 7,000 jobs due to automation.

Electronics company Foxconn has cut around 60,000 jobs and replaced them with robots.

There are estimates that between now and 2020 around 5 million jobs will be replaced by robots.

No company set out on a mission to create jobs... jobs are contrary to profits.
Well, just take a look at 'revenue growth' and see if it is in line with 'profit growth'.
While some do have real revenue growth, not all of the profits were created from that. Cuts, cuts and more cuts. I call it the syndrome of greed... More, More, More !
And most of the job cuts are the result of merger and acquisition of years ago finally taking hold.

In my zip code alone, with a 4% growth rate, now employs 8% less than they did just 3 years ago. without loosing one biz.
Many of those lower end scale jobs... fast food and the like, they have few full time employee's and the ones that are, were made management so they can work them overtime without paying overtime wages. The lost jobs were the part time jobs.

Go into a Wall-Mart and go to the Wood Forest Bank that Wall-Mart owns controlling interest in and find just one person who is not management. And then ask how many hours they work. Mine has 11 assistant managers working 55 hours a week and one manager.
Nobody gets overtime pay. If they were to return to a 40 hour week, they would need 3 more folks to cover the same man-hours.
What's that do for your bottom line.

Most, probably will not care about such things, until they will be forced to do the same.
Oh... I know... That won't happen to me... LOL
But if all my competitors do it, I will be forced to also.
That is similar to what started the race to make it in China.

So yes, jobs are contrary to profits and no company has a mission to create jobs.

Your life has improved and you give credit to Trump ?

So then there must be some of his actual measures passed that have affected your life ?

I wonder what they are ?
