How are you detecting bot traffic?

Thinking of adding a link to my landing page that is not actually visible to people but that bots should still click. I'll then block sites sending traffic that do click on it.

Maybe there's a better way?

If you find you paid for traffic and got bots, post who ripped you off.

Best way to detect bots is to check for patterns - if you see how certain ip is loading page exactly same time, then it's a bot.

If it's coming from you, it's bot traffic.
