Senate Democrats have 50 of 51 votes needed for Net Neutrality bill
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.275a0e443a7a
They need only 1 more vote to pass the bill in the Senate to force the FCC to reinstate net neutrality. The House will obviously be a bigger issue and then there is Trump who likely won't sign it anyway..but we will see how it turns out. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.275a0e443a7a Democrats will retake a lot of seats in the House so we will see it back eventually if the Debbie downers try to stop it..

This is awesome news!
Another examples of how Democrats care about freedom of speech and consumer privacy and Republicans/alt-right nuts are all about government intervention, censorship and Multinational Corporation profit increases. |

Well, if it passes the Senate that's a good push, but the House is full of corporate sponsored Republicans who are cheap to buy and they damn sure do what their benifactors tell them..

I highly doubt this will actually end up passing, but I don't think that is the Democrat's plan. They want to force Republicans to be on record as voting directly against Net Neutrality so they can use that against them in the midterm election.

My guess is 1 more Republican will sign on for the Senate as it would then shield all the others from having to vote no.. I think they'd rather give up another yes vote let it pass knowing it will die in the house, rather than have 51 of them on record voting no.. |
