Bologna, Florence, Lucca, Forte Dei Marmi, Pisa: my recent trip
Anyone been to?
So, here's a quick intro. Italia. I spent about a year all together in the Northern Italy. Photos would be not enough to tell, words would never cover the whole story too. I don't want to sound formal, I'd rather put it as is, as I feel it is. So, pardon my French Bologna. We assume it's warm in Italy. Fuck no. It's definitely cold in Bologna in February. It can drizzle, it can snow, it can rain and it can be as low as -5C. Italians sneak around in the galleries, have their coffee shots and roll around the city in stylish cars. But, mainly, they walk long walks in the city with no sky - that is what Bologna is like, it's raining you can hide, but when the sun goes out you want to catch some sun you still have to stroll through the galleries. Food like - awesome, just don't go anywhere that really doesn't belong to Italia, an Irish pub, for example. They have two towers standing close, one is leaning, another one offers a EURO 3 580 steps up to have a bird eye view over the city. Florence. First, it's a 300 km/h train. Fuck, that was fast, 30 minutes through the hole in the mountains and you're in Florence. It costs EURO 100 for a round trip for 4. It gets immediately warmer, the mountains keep the cool away But... unfortunately, IMO, Florence is simply overrated. You better go to Verona, grab Juliette by her tit . The bridge, Ponte Vecchio, the one where they still have habitats is so fake, you walk through and they sell all sort of shit to you. The streets are so crowded it's hard to walk if you travel with family, it's near to impossible to find a quiet place. Bit, don't be lazy, go up the hill to have a really nice view of the river and the central Florence - that's probably the best idea of all. Food wise - you can get fucked, one place we were at ( jeez, we really needed a toilet ) served a shitty pizza and really bad wine. So, be selective. I would NOT go that place EVAH fuck again. Lucca. We rented a Fiesta in Bologna, apparently fast and comfortable ride, a little small for us, but cheap enough. We took a longer route to see the snow in the mountains, we saved about 30 minutes of time on our way back driving through the tunnels. Jeez, please, may I stay for good in this little town. Please, that is where I want to spend the rest of my life. Walking the narrow streets, quiet and boring for someone but beautiful for me. 2-3 clients in a pizza parlor, 'piazzas' surrounded by maple trees, slow life style and the epic view on the mountains. I'd be riding on a bicycle around all year round considering the climate. That place stands close to ideal if you are tired of the big city and looking to chill. Forte Dei Marmi. All right. That little place faces the sea. It's fairly quiet and gloomy in the winter, but how long does it last for a winter in that place? I doubt I could afford to stay there as of everything looked so polished and clean. I had a problem finding a public toilette so I asked at the local medical center, they kindly showed me around and invited to visit their bath room. I thanked them a lot and went out as happy as I could ever be. Pisa. Well, that is definitely a spot to visit. A white blanc tower that is about to fall. Looks cool. Everyone tries to make a silly photo, but generally, the feel is awesome. Takes an hour at max to see it all.
