google US "aid" and corruption...I could give you plenty of examples...shit I almost took $$$ from them, I sold computer hardware for a short time and I got a call about somebody who wanted 20 laptops so I went to their office that was close to my house...get this, they wanted the most expensive possible laptops because their budget for this year was almost spent but they HAD to get rid of the rest of the money so that they could get a grant from the USIS government for even more...they wanted to make it appear as if the "aid" money was not sufficient and they needed to burn the rest of the cash...they wanted me to "cook the books" and make the laptops 2x more expensive than they really were but the problem was I could not get 20 of them in time...in the end they purchased 6 servers from a friend of mine and later on they made him sell the servers and they split the cash from the sale...

this is how US "aid" works...it is a pocket lining scheme...a scam...just like anything that the US gov rolls out...

The "expert" in the article makes the same claims as you. Negotiating tactics by Moon started the chain of negotiations leading up to the now postponed/canceled summit.

That "expert" has no idea about how negotiations work.
It's a back and forth. Now NK is countering.
It's all part of the dance.

But there is no dance, the summit is postponed indefinitely. Trump alluded to that late yesterday.

Maybe just maybe there's a reason China has moved missiles to its new islands and deployed their version of the b52 bomber to the area, while the USA is also sending in bigger fire power. No doubt Russia has a few subs lurking as well.

"A North Korean official has lashed out at US Vice President Mike Pence and said Pyongyang is ready for a nuclear showdown if dialogue with the United States fails. Whether the U.S. "will meet us at a meeting room or encounter us at nuclear-to-nuclear showdown is entirely dependent upon the decision and behaviour of the United States"

Since Trumps been in.. NK had no nukes, then maybe they had one, then it came out they had at least 5, 6 months later they were saying 60 which is now 6 months ago, and it looking like Chinas got his back.

If you all missed.. this week was the one China said CheckMate.

what's a nuclear showdown? Inquiring minds want to know.

And you'd certainly have a hard time proving trump's to blame for NK's timeline of nuke dev, they've been increasing missile tests and such every year, year after year. I hate bringing up obama and hillary here but both of them played hard ball with Un, he certainly was building an arsenal in reaction to their bluster as well. And Un's dad before him with previous administrations, bush, clinton, etc et al, for decades.

next, their missiles are theoretical at best, there was 1 high arc test that succeeded and doing the math on the arc show that missile *could* make it to mainland USA.

Most importantly, NK has about $0.48 to spend on a nuke showdown with America.

what's really odd about your post is how pro-militarization you are.

You come across has having no issues at all with China militarizing a huge chunk of ocean. but but Trump caused NK to make a bunch of nukes in a year.

keep confirming you're anti-American.

It's ALWAYS a negotiation. Trump has said since the very beginning (back on the campaign trail) that former administrations didn't have a clue on how to negotiate.
He said you have to be able to walk away in order to get movement from the other side. If the other side thinks you are committed to doing something no matter what...then they have no reason to negotiate.

Also...the meeting is STILL on. Trump has said so. Not sure why you are saying it isn't.
At 3:36 p.m. Pacific time on Wed....North Korea THREATENED to pull out of the summit.

You can't threaten to pull out of something that isn't happening.

As for President Trump...these were the last comments he made on Wed.
"Whatever it is," Trump said, "we will know next week about Singapore and if we go I think it will be a great thing for North Korea."

So the premise of this thread is not correct.

As far as negotiating goes...I wouldn't be surprised if this meeting does NOT take place yet. Pulling out of the meeting is a powerful negotiating tool for each side.
BUT...the U.S. definitely has the upper hand and Trump knows it.
For Kim Jung Un to meet with Pres. Trump is 100% good for Un and he knows it. Trump is definitely in the power seat.

But having said that...Asian culture is different than ours. And as I understand it, "saving face" is a big part of that.

So huffing and puffing before the talks is pretty much expected.
And Trump knows that. He's negotiated with people in the Far East for decades.

As the President has said over and over and over: "We'll have to wait and see".

This is all standard "Art Of The Deal" stuff.

And of course...ANY negotiation can go south in a hurry. That may very well happen. And if the meeting does not occur, it will put the North Koreans in a dangerous spot.
It could very well mean military action and regime change.

That is something that was going to happen eventually no matter who the President was. The U.S. has long ago laid down the marker that North Korea can not be allowed to have nukes.

Trump has taken us further toward a negotiated settlement than any other President.

And the reason I said I don't believe ANY of these so-called "experts" is simple:
None of their "expert" advice helped any former administrations get anything done with North Korea.
If this "expert" is so clever and so knowledgeable...then why didn't Pres. Obama heed him and "fix" the North Korea problem? Or why didn't George Bush? Or Bill Clinton? Or Bush Sr.? Or Reagan? Or Carter? Or Ford? Or Nixon? Or Johnson? Or Kennedy? Or Eisenhower? Or Truman?

The answer is because these "experts" at universities are teachers.
And there's an old saying:
"Those that can DO, those that can't TEACH"

I wouldn't read too much into what's on and what's off until after the deadline

It's beneficial for both sides, however both have asked for conditions the other won't/ can't keep, expect a lot of jostling by both and maybe they can reach some middle ground.. that's not Hawaii.

Good chance to read up on North Koreas capabilities.

Now Trump can go to war with N Korea and blame Kim Jong Un.

Trump is now threatening nuclear war...

'America's nuclear weapons are so "massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never be used," the president wrote to the North Korean leader in a letter released by the White House.'

This is what Trump has wanted all along.

hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

This is quite the mess now. I read trump agreed to the Un meeting <45 minutes after the invite to do so, no due diligence, no discussion with his "experts", you know, the best of the best he claims he hired. He got played by the Asians, who also overplayed their hand and now Trump feels snubbed by the fact that NK never was going to give up their nukes. trump is no deal maker or negotiator.

big mess now.

The deal is off, that's reality. You don't publicly cancel a nuke summit days before as a negotiating tactic. we have massive military in the area, as well as others but trump thinks canceling the meeting will be the negotiating tactic that causes Un to give up nukes....that's not a trump card. Un will never give up his nukes, trump played himself into a corner. he's no negotiator or deal maker. the whole thing is a massive mess now.

Everyone knew the outcome but the easily fooled poorly educated Trump supporters.

Here's another tip Trump supporters, Trump hired Bolton because he wants to invade NK. You can expect a build up of Trump NK hate tweets to start an invasion after before the 2020 elections in 2019.

The "deal" (that never actually existed) may indeed be off.

Trump said over and over and over (though the MSM and apparently you never listened) that if a deal is "bad" you get up and walk away.
Hell, he basically skewered John Kerry for NOT walking away from the Iran deal.

Not all negotiations work out in the end. But believe me, this IS a negotiating tactic.

And your opinion on Trump's negotiating skills is about as relevant as the "Expert". Neither you or I or that "expert" have EVER been on the level that Trump has been on his entire life.

And yet...here we both are discussing this as if we each have the answers. lol
Such is the human ego.

Apparently when Robbie wants to buy a car he simply doesn't show up to the dealership thinking he will get a better deal that way.

Trump crooned about getting the Nobel peace prize over and over again live on national TV and had a NK commemorative coins made.

Watching Robbie do a 180 just proves how brainwashed Trump supporters are and they'll continue to throw away any integrity they might have left at the drop of a hat at the request their Masters Trump and Putin.

He lost my respect earlier this year when it came apparent all he wants to do is spew his agenda and not absorb the truth even when it doesn't accommodate him.

In Robs mind, when he's wrong he's also right he's never wrong. So it's like playing checkers with someone who when they lose they think they win and when they win they knew they were going to win because they always win even when they lose and they're always right even when they're wrong. It's mental defect. He could be in solitary confinement in prison for a year and during that whole time think he's a winner. Mental defect

How to negotiate a better job offer according to Trump supporters: Don't show up to the interview and threaten to bomb their building.

Tsk tsk. Such concern.

3 hostages handed back. Some nuclear tunnels shut down already.

Clearly, NK is acting the fool so we should pull out of talking with them.

That makes total sense.

Remember they Trump supporters read Trump supporter websites where there's always something on the back burner that no one else knows about but them so this is all part of the master plan to actually get North Korea to negotiate and nobody knows it cuz that evil mainstream media but Trump has a multiple plans and it's going to work.

So in Trump supporters Minds we don't know the truth only they know the truth because they read those special websites without the secret info.

some of us have hope for a better tomorrow. more nukes is not better, it's worse.

pointing your finger at people who want things to be better is not a good look for anyone.

And ftr, to be perfectly clear-

I wanted to give trump a win on this deal, i want things to be better with nk.
just like I've given him credit for contributing to the economy via the trump effect and tax cuts, and for his removing the politicization of the war on ISIS. Other things as well. He's still not my kind of guy, I don't like him as a dude or as a president

I hope for a nuclear future...lets face it: the USA will never stop invading...50 years from now the USA will still be invading...only with drones and robots...fuck that...

there is no reason for invaders to feel safe...I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees (not to quote movies but I agree with the statement 100%)

It's why it is a complete waste of time and energy to have any type of dialogue with them. It's like discussing physics with a 5 year old. You're better off just making farting sounds and marveling at their expression.

When they read out loud the letter Chump sent, I thought they were reading the lyrics to a new Taylor Swift break up song!

I could care less what you believe.
You can believe whatever you want.

A deal either happens or it doesn't. My observation is based on my experience and thought process.
Yours is different.

So believe whatever you want.

This is all negotiating. NK tested us, Trump calls the bluff.
Now we have to see what NK's next move is.

Their hand is weak. In the end it will be peace or war.

Right? I mean - does it seem logical that they are not acting in good faith? Reasonable that we would pull out of this because of some bellicose language? And that we respond to their language with "Our nukes are bigger than your nukes...?"

I don't know the answer - my super secret private websites where all the real information is hidden away from prying eyes and nobody else can look (also known as - government and justice department websites) are not expounding on the national security strategy of the United States - in public.

I can only wonder and ask questions. North Korea has done nothing different and is showing good faith, despite allegedly aggressive language. Is that enough, with all the good faith shown to cancel an important summit? To people that hate Trump, they will see it as confirmation of things they believe. To me, it is not a logical move - so I wonder what else is going on that we don't know.
