We need an extensive guide on how to not get banned. |
how in the hack do you get followers on tumblr?
|
For my main blog I didnt get any followers until I went on som1 else blog n asked them to reblog one of my posts, I can giv u their blog or even my blog if you want. I also have a sub blog n how that one received followers I am not sure but it is doin a lot better than my main blog. My sub blog is specific where as my main is general.

Good reading.

It's a lot harder to get followers now if they flag your blog as "adult", because your posts won't show up in tag search. So yeah you have to go out and follow other people.
If you list your blog as "nsfw" and they don't change it, you'll get followers and reblogs more easily, so long as your content is high quality. |
So I guess the question nowadays is who HASN'T had their tumblr blogs banned? Is it pretty much dead?

Here is a good one: http://frankbuer.tumblr.com/

Huge +1
Tumblr can be a very decent source of traffic as well a way how to promote your brand. 3 tips: 1) Build up 1 mega blog rather than 50-1000 small sh*! ones 2) post only original pictures/gifs 3) quality over quantity!!! gl Helmuts We at LustJobs.com have a relatively new Tumblr blog, but the posts get shared and liked: http://lustjobs.tumblr.com a random gif sample: http://24.media.tumblr.com/196b6e2ce...bmd2o1_400.gif http://31.media.tumblr.com/17aae0e5f...bmd2o2_400.gif p.s. need original pics of teens? ... check out fiverr where for $5 you can get up to 50 original photos ;) . |
Very interesting!

Like someone said above ... who hasn't had a blog deleted yet? Not sure it's worth the time anymore. |

thanx for the tut, Tofu!

Excellent post thankyou. I'm just starting a tumblr blog as we speak
|
Now that Yahoo has acquired Tumblr, has anyone noticed a crack down on adult content? I know that Yahoo said that they would not do this, but I never trust that sort of thing. I have a Tumblr, but to be honest I have not had a chance to do much with it lately because I have been focusing on building a couple of other sites.
|
Looks like this site is gone now.
|
This is a great post. Tumblr is a great tool for promotion and content distribution and it's under-utilized (at least by me).
|
Fantastic informative post. Thanks!

Thank You-- Very Informative!

I get good feedback with animated GIF's on Tumblr

I've become convinced that tumblr blogs get some sort of manual review after reaching 5,000 followers.
I can keep lots of blogs alive constantly, all on unique ips but sometime shortly after getting 5,000 followers they get deleted every time. I do occasionally get them deleted sooner, sometimes with zero ads or links on . But I have found if you email support, they quickly reply, apologize and restore the blog. Sometimes they reply that the blog was deleted for spam. I have had blogs restored that were monetized but never one with a lot of followers. When a blog gets banned with over 5,000 followers, they don't even respond to emails. |

5000 users wondering where their favorite blogs have gone. |
I don't do tumblr but I'm always drawn to an opportunity to make a big score figuring out something people can't do anymore.
Does anybody know what happens just before you're banned? It sounds to me like there's some criteria (adult, lots of activity) that triggers a human review and then someone decides in 2 seconds whether or not you're an affiliate and not just a pervert. The main thing I wanna know is if these reviews actually happen, is it all by people at a certain office(s) you could pinpoint with a geo-ip lookup? Could you make a totally clean looking blog, then host a javascript that just seems like a counter or something to someone flagged as a reviewer but for everyone else injects all your links and changes all the behavior? You see what I'm getting at? Like SE cloaking but cloaking for humans instead of bots. |
I am planning to create multiple Tumblr site, hope to have harvest, thank you!

You can not put ads there and do not be too spammy. Your blog has to look natural, no spammy links and ads everywhere. |

:2 cents: |
However, tumblr is a social network. So--like twitter--you have to have a good balance of content & spam vs. socializing with other blogs outside of your own. Otherwise, you just look like another affiliate site. Tone down the banner farms and hide your links WITHIN the content. It may help to purchase a blog template or two. It shows you have actually contributed to their service, where others may not have. Make your blog blend in with all of the freeloaders. Participate, encourage your viewers to submit to you or ask questions (answer them, of course). Participate, participate, participate! I have yet to have one of my tumblr blogs shut down (knock on wood).

Good post ... I've been slacking off our tumblr, time to get back at it!

There is one wordpress plugin which automatically post the links (with pictures from the posts) on the social media sites, like tumblr, twitter.
It works perfect, I post some post and then they are immediately with pictures there, I have gained in this way a thousands of followers with minimum time. |
Not very clued up on tumblr so this has been a very useful thread.

Interesting read, thankyou:)

very good article, thanks for the idea!

Good info - thanks.
My favourite part of Tumblr's TOS is: "...go nuts. Show your nuts..." It's rare for a large scale host to explicitly permit uses which are often skirted around with ambiguous definitions in the TOS. Still not clear on how 18USC2257 applies to Tumblr. Don't see many Custodian of Records notes on Tumblr pages. DINO |
Welcome guys.

I know somebody who started a SINGLE tumbler in late 2014. Today she has about 5000 followers and growing now by about 1000 per month... She works very hard at it and of course posts a bit of pictures from my site...:thumbsup the reward is already felt, I get about ONE converted customer/day.
Now, why would anybody have many tumblers just to spam the same site ( or group of sites) ? In any business this would be called a Ponzi scheme.... But in porn is just the way to do business .... ??? a.k.a. In 60 pieces of shit maybe you find one undigested nut....Now, even if I was hungry I would not eat that nut because its still wrapped in shit :2 cents: |
