Creating Effective Email Campaigns (ie. making a shit ton of money via email)

Hey there...my fellow smut salesmen,

If you've been in the business a while, you know our industry has some unique challenges.

Your ?high-risk? processor take a big chunk of your earnings. You can't advertise on the mainstream networks. And just sending emails can be a royal pain in the ass (server blacklisting, spam filtering,etc.)

Now, it's the latter that I want to talk to you about today...specifically creating effective email campaigns.

You see, I think your average adult biz is leaving mountains of cash on the table...by not doing email right.

Sure, most of you guys have some sort of email marketing in place. But you know what?

It kinda SUCKS. Any guy who's done mainstream email marketing would tell you that.

Just to make my point...

This last month, I signed on to over 100 adult email lists ? big players in the industry. And what I saw was unbelievable...embarrassing even.

To sum up my findings:

1. They rarely emailed their list

2. When they did, it was a straight sales pitch ?- every time.

3. Talk about a snooze fest! Reading these emails cured my insomnia.

It's amazing considering that porn guys basically pioneered internet marketing. But somewhere along the line...they dropped the ball. Big time.

Let me tell you now folks...the money is in the list ? IF - you treat it right. There's no marketing channel with lower costs, and better ROI than email. Even in 2015.

I know...I know...social media is all the rage these days. But you know what? Nobody's selling nothing on twitter. It's not a direct marketing platform --- like email is.

When you get somebody's email...you've got them plugged into your sales funnel for YEARS.

You can pitch 'em affiliate products. Go after former members. Hit 'em with something new every email. The sky's the limit.

I'm telling you guys...if you have a list...there's golden nuggets scattered on the floor. And the question is:

Are you going to pick them up?

Now, what I'm talking about is NOT spam. (Even though you'll be emailing your list every day and selling them something in virtually every email.)

If you do email the way I suggest...your list will be excited about your emails. Your open rates will skyrocket. Your CTRs will go up. And most importantly...the sales will pour in.

So how do you turn your emails into ?rain makers??

It's simple. In fact, I've got ONE funny word that describes the whole method.

Infotainment.

Basically, your #1 mission (should you choose to accept it) is to entertain.

Your average Joe lives a boring as fuck life. And his inbox is filled with boring as fuck emails.

You've got to shock him out of his indifference ?- starting with the subject line.

The last email I sent out for one of my clients had the subject line, ?I Told Her To Slobber On My Pole!?. Shocking, right? Well maybe not here at GFY hehe...

But how 'bout this for shocking...It had a 73% open rate, and brought in $3824.22 in affiliate sales.

(Of course, I tied in the subject line to the email copy...and told a story which people ate up.)

The key here is entertainment. Any information, or pitch in the email, should be disguised within that ?entertainment vehicle?.

Here's why this works (Julian's linear thought process?)...

If you can entertain people, they'll like you. If they like you, they'll trust you. If they trust you, they'll buy from you.

You see where I'm going with this?

Good email marketing really boils down to showing off your personality, and being relateable.

People are voyeurs. They want to know YOU and hear about your life...even the little stuff.

Most adult business totally fail at this. Their email marketing is impersonal, and basically just spam.

So if you implement what I'm saying...you'll stick out in their inbox like a boner in a nudist camp.

Basically, you need to get good at copywriting. Good email marketing is good copywriting. Period.

There's umpteen good books on the subject. Start with the timeless classic, ?Scientific Advertising? by Claude Hopkins. But feel free to P.M me if you want some more suggestions.

Honestly, the best way to get good at this...is just to do it. You should be emailing your list everyday anyhow.

Get rid of any fear of ?spamming?. As long as you're doing it right ? not being a boring fuck ? your list will love you for it.

Sometimes, I email my list twice a day...and my unsubscribe rate is very very low.

The point I want to drive home here is...email marketing STILL works in 2015.

It works damn good if you do it right.

So if you're just using email for the odd announcement, I encourage you to try what I'm saying.

Relate to your list. Entertain them with a personal story. And pitch them affiliate offers that relate to your site/niche.

You will be rewarded --- I promise you that.

Alas, I've made this far longer than I originally intended. But I hope you guys start turning your lists into the cash cows that they ought to be.
