Need a couple of projects
I'm looking for some sidework because I'll be leaving my day job shortly. I broke my knee in March at the restaurant where I work, and everyone has been just peaches about paying the medical costs and making reasonable accomodations at work and so forth. But, I'm quite far behind on bills from the time I was out, and I have some large, unavoidable expenses coming up soon. So, I'm asking Worker's Comp to make a final settlement offer so I can catch up; I'm out of other options. Unfortunately, the company policy requires termination of employment upon settlement.
So, I'm looking for back-up plans to help make a transition into working on the interwebs full-time. Although my own websites provide a little income, up until now I've treated them as hobbies that give me some walking around money and I'm realistic about how long it will take to build my stable up to replace my day job income. I can do PHP programming, copy writing, and grunt work; all reasonable offers will be responded to quickly and honestly. Hell, unreasonable offers taking advantage of a guy in a tight situation will probably make it on the list, too. I'd like to turn lemons into lemonade here, make a few connections that could turn into ongoing work or mutual support, and transition into a career that doesn't require doing further damage to my already banged up knee. Shoot me an e-mail at: support ~at~ manpuppy.com if you have any projects or suggestions. I check it a couple times a day. Thanks for reading.
