This senior-level application developer and system architect will be top-down responsible for leading a team of developers (currently 5 trending towards 10 team members). The team will be responsible for the project management, software architecture, design, development, and maintenance of software services and web-based application software products for a variety of websites in the adult entertainment sector.

This Director of Application Development (CTO) needs years of hands-on experience in distributed object-oriented programming skills including (but not limited to) C#, ASP, .NET as Web Forms and/or MVC5 in the Visual Studio 2013 environment.

The Director of Application Development (CTO) must have a natural bias toward test-driven software development. Software Architecture skills are mandatory.

Director of Application Development (CTO) Job Duties:

• Deliver high-quality software / web development embracing Agile development principles
• Collaborate on creating release schedule
• Support and maintain existing functionality
• System architecture, i.e. developing functional and technical designs
• Oversee unit testing, test automation, and source control
• Ability to work independently or within a multi-faceted team
• Participate in requirements definition and documentation
• Demonstrate prototypes and/or released application software to internal team
• Successfully navigate both the business and developer audience in solution development

Education, Knowledge and Skills, Certifications:

• In-depth experience in architecting, designing, and building large-scale distributed services-oriented systems
• Experience with NHibernate would be an asset
• 5+ years of hands-on SOA design and implementation experience using Microsoft technology (C#, ASP, .NET, MVC4/5 and SQL)
• Recent experience in development of responsive / mobile software applications.
• Experience in writing stored procedures, user-defined functions, views, using SQL Server (Transact SQL)
• Understands complex relational database concepts and strategies
• Designed and developed enterprise level architecture for web applications
• Designed and developed enterprise level architecture for mobile applications
• Web UI (ASP, ASP.NET and Ajax) experience
• Strong Javascript / JQuery skills
• Familiar with and eager to work in an Agile environment
• Understands browser-specific compatibility issues
• Experienced with web-based N-tier database applications
• Knowledge of developing and consuming Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services
• Designed and developed integrations with third party systems
• Demonstrated ability to work with other teams within an organization such as quality assurance, product management, and technical support
• Basic SYSOP skills, maintain uptime on servers, and dispatching high-level outsourced tech support when needed
• Willingness to learn the principles of MS MVC6 (open-source ?Rosyln?) in order to unify a system running:

.NET Framework 3.0/3.5/4.0
ASP.Net 4.0
SQL Server 2008 ? database design and optimization
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) architecture

Relevant Work Experience Requirement: 10+ years as a Developer
