I used coinbase to sell and tried a trade in their yesterday. It takes 4 days for the buy to show up. Sort of kills any fast in and out.

There was never really a good reason for it to have moved up to $500 when it did, much less all the way to $1.2k. It was just speculation and hype that pushed it up there. Sooner or later that was going to end and the price was going to fall. Doesn't mean the end of Btc but rather a more sensible level.

Uhmmmm - it's value at any level is based solely on speciation and hype.

So happy i didn't buy at 1k:thumbsup

RandyRandy 12-18-2013 08:12 AM

This is why it cannot be used as a purchasing tool. As a speculative investment, yes. To buy goods and services no.

Choopa Phil 12-18-2013 09:56 AM

I see it as a prime opportunity to buy more...

David-PD 12-18-2013 09:59 AM

It's gonna go up again eventually so yeah, it's chance to buy it :) But I'd go for LTC. Low price right now cos it's connected to BTC... but once they start buying it for USD it will go up loads :)

PPPPasquale 12-18-2013 10:41 AM

So what.....the bubble has burst, anyone surprised?:

SlammedMedia 12-18-2013 11:02 AM

You should be able to think for 10 seconds and realize why it's dropping, it will go up after xmas and only climb and I expect it'll climb fast and high.

Lykos 12-18-2013 11:06 AM

It's becoming very interesting :)

Why? Are the Chinese going to reverse action, and allow BTC China to accept deposits again? Because that action is why Bitcoins plunged.

1 btc = $541.00000 usd

AdultKing 12-18-2013 01:22 PM

I've said this several times but it bears repeating.

1 bitcoin will only ever be worth 1 bitcoin.

Anyone can start a cryptocurrency and many people have, however it's usefulness will only be proven once it is simple for Joe Average to use it and most people on the planet have no idea what it is and have never heard of it, much less how to use it.

Ask 10 randoms on the street if they know what Bitcoin is, I bet you'll average one in ten.
