It's an excellent series if you like actual "story"... I pulled out my book to see how well they're following it and they're doing an excellent job right down to almost verbatim dialog.

I am amused by the fact that everybody in the show fucks rear-entry only. The only exception I can think of was one shot of the red-headed hooker character riding some guy while sitting in his lap facing him. Everybody else? It's bend her over and do her from behind. (And if you're a Dolrathi, do it in public -- who cares? The girls are all slaves anyway.)

Usually when shows have this much sex and nudity it's because they have nothing good to say. Face it, this show sucks.

That would usually be true except that it's based on an award winning series of books and all that "sex" is in the books.

Spartacus had much more sex and it is a great fucking series! Game of Thrones is developing slowly but I have a feeling it's about to get really interesting. People with attention deficit usually don't like shows that require plot development.

I really had no expectations about it, but so far I'm liking it :thumbsup

Nah, I really think it's quite bad. Maybe the books are better. I've only watched 2 episodes so far, I'll give a few more a try.

I watch a lot of HBO series so I am quite familiar with how their plots develop slowly over the course of a series. Nothing wrong with that.

The sex and nudity on the show is totally misused. It's definitely looks and feels like it's there for shock value only.

I was planning on watching it until I saw a couple of clips and read a synopsis of the books it's based on. Lost all interest. It just seems like shock value BS. It's a shame because I usually do like HBO shows and anything with slow going, well developed plot.

First of all, what does porn have to do with TV/Movies? If I want to watch porn, I'll watch porn. If I want to see a movie or series, I certainly don't mind nudity and sex, as long as it's used right. This looks likes a medieval soft porn production. Even the effects and scenery aren't that great.

Actually it has some "minor" difference between the book and the movie, but I think the movie rocks! Sean Bean play is awesome as usual, the effects are awesome and the whole movie is Awesum!

What I think some people who feel it is starting slowly might night realize is that this show is based on a series of books. Currently there are 5 books in the series and there will eventually be 6 or 7 when he is done. So it might be a little slow at first, but we need to get to know who everyone is and what their roles in all this is as the shit starts to hit the fan.

Supposedly each season of the show will cover one of the books and they would ultimately like to do them all. I haven't read them but a friend of mine who has says they are pretty spot on and that thinks are about to get kicked into high gear.

You sir, have no taste. Game of Thrones is an epic story true to its tale.

They stay pretty close to the story line. There are some glaring differences, ie how Ned hurt his leg, in the book it was his dying horse falling on him vs. a spear. They've cut out some character development, especially for the King's council members.

Not too bad, all considering. The children and most important the Direwolves are not being given enough attention in the story line as they are in the novels.

It's a great show, and they do a good job. Now, Wheel Of Time needs to be made.

I think the show is great. Its too bad they are only doing book 1. Book 2 is really where all hell breaks loose in the story line. Im hoping HBO will continue when these first 10 episodes are done.
