Be interesting to see if GFY community was a iphone or Android community.

iphone all the way
As I hate apple production, I use their biggest rival - HTC.
And I like android very much, it's so easy, has a lot of features and you may do things fast. When you need 8 clicks to do something on nokia, you'll need only 2-3 taps on android. |
I don't have one here, never liked being able to be reached anywhere.
Iphone 3gs, waiting for 5.
iPhone 4....my new best friend
If I didn't listen to so much music, I'd have an android. Until I can find software compatible with all my music and podcasts, I'm stuck with Iphone
but I love my android tablet. |

Galaxy s2 android

I use Android on a Sony X10. It has a really good camera.
My girlfriend has an Iphone, I prefer the apps and functionality on Andriod, but it's not much different for my purposes. Not having flash will keep me off the iphone, I can't check half my stats properly. |

I have a Motorola I bought waaaay back in 2006. Its compact, its built like a (very thin) brick, and it never loses its signal. I can drive nails into drywall with this phone (which I did in a fit of drunken anger...) without hurting it.
It was a bitch finding a new battery, but I wouldn't trade this phone for anything - and I have more than enough "Fido Dollars" to get a replacement. This phone is indestructible - I'm keeping it. As a matter of fact, we had a huge thunder / hail storm in Toronto a couple days back. My son and my girlfriend both have Fido phones. They had no signal - their phones were - for all purposes - dead, yet my shitty old MOTO could still make calls. I also pay for my son's and daughter's mobile phones. My daughter has gone through about six BlackBerries in the last few years - they are fragile pieces of shit; and my son's phone didn't even live as long as his contract. He got some LG piece of shit. It would break if I looked at it the wrong way. Still have to pay for them, though! No matter what phone you buy now, its a fragile, flimsy, overpriced, disposable piece of shit. Except that you can't easily (legally) dispose of them. If you want Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube on your phone - great. I just like to be able to make - and receive - phone calls and text messages. You wouldn't think so highly of your rapidly-becoming-obsolete smart phone if you had three contracts to pay each month. No, I'll stick with my old MOTO. I can type in numbers and actually talk to people. Don't give a fuck about internet connectivity. Edit: Damn, that was a long post. |
Evo 4g here
no one else has a blueberry?
I was an apple hater until iPhone. It works well. I didn't care for iTunes. Skipped iPods.
Love my iPad too. Android looks nice, and one day might catch up to iPhone in my books. But iOS 5 looks tight. What iPhone 5 brings is the next q |
iPhone here as well.
Android for the win! :)
iPhone 4

android wins. open source operating system that all cell phone and television companies will be using...
I have a Samsung Corby, when I find it in the house. I hate talking on the phone and I hate hearing it ringing. This is why is on vibrations since long time ago.
Every time my cell is ringing somebody needs something urgent! So, fuck it! |
Nokia :)
I do not have a mobile phone. But I will buy one. May be a siemens or something from apple.
I have a Samsung android phone now, but will get the iPhone 5 when it comes. Mostly because I have never had an iPhone and want to test, but also because I lately have become a Apple Whore :1orglaugh
I will also think that it will be slightly less fuzz to connect an iPhone to my Macbook pro than what is the case for the Samsung. |
Iphone, some early version. but it works well enough.
Android, and a non-smartphone for my 2nd number.
Android Galaxy S
I've got a Samsung Galaxy, the Epic 4G variant with the sliding keyboard.
If the rumors of iPhone 5 coming to Sprint in a month or so are true, I may be taking the plunge. |
I have a boost mobile phone that I found outside with dog bite marks on it from when my pit was a lot smaller. It makes calls and does the text thing. All I need.
I love that I have full control over my Android. I can add.or treeline anything I want and run the same scripts I run on servers. I even replaced the entire operating system image with a custom one just because I can. Since Android is Linux, I can ssh to and from it, using it much like my severs and desktop. I can run whatever browser I want, use my phone as a hotspot, whatever I want without getting permission from Steve Jobs. I do appreciate Steve suggesting I should buy Android, though:
http://m.wired.com/gadgetlab/2010/04/steve-jobs-porn/ I also love unlimited everything with no contract for $50 / month with Boost. |

I gave up my mobile phone.
Was paying $80/mo and using about an 1/8th of my plan. I was on the cheapest plan as well. When I called to cancel, Sprint didn't give a shit and me being a customer for four years didn't matter to them either so I said see ya. |
