In n out FOR EVER

People in La think in-and-out is the greatest thing ever, It's decent but nothing special about it. I would have to give the title to 5 guys if your talking big chain companies.

I do! =) |
Currently so burger

I've been to several In n Out. They're good, but I do agree possibly a bit overrated for some reason.
Around here I like 5Guys, A&W, and believe it or not the Wendy's baconator is pretty good. |

It's sad that when talking about "the best" burger only the big franchised mass-produced products get mentioned
I've eaten burgers from one end of the US to the other, north, south, east and west and none of the big burger chains even comes close to what they serve at this little place sitting right on top of the San Andreas Fault in the middle of nowhere. http://i.imgur.com/fxcyKNR.jpg https://goo.gl/maps/B5hRo Population: 18 people and a whole bunch of grass-eating and very tasty cows, it's too bad that I doubt that any other gfyers will ever get to enjoy what I consider to be simply the best burger... ever. In fact now that I'm thinking about it I'm thinking that I'll have to go there this weekend :) |

Very subjective question. It's like going on a car or motorcycle forum and asking what is the best engine oil.
|
Shake Shack.
Everything there is fucking great! But I eat two bacon cheeseburgers and a caramel shake and I've gained three million pounds. LOL |

Hopefully someday some gfyer may be able to confirm my claim, hell I'll meet them there. :) I like it when people speak up about their favorite local places to eat, the food is generally better and if it's close enough to me I may actually give it a try based on their recommendation. Of the nationwide mass-produced corporate chain crap I would have to go with 5 guys, Fatburger just isn't what it used to be 20 years ago :( I never thought In and Out was all that great and I found the taste/texture of the beef at Fuddruckers to be just a bit "off". People in South Florida will be familiar with Char-Hut, they used to serve a pretty good burger but seemed to me to be slipping a bit when I moved west a number of years ago. I'd never heard of Johnny Rockets Princess, it looks like I'll be near one Saturday I may have to give it a try, thanks. :thumbsup |

As far as Chains go. Fat burger is great! In and Out is good but highly overrated... When I see someone boasting about in and out being better than any burger ever... I wonder about their mental capacity.
There is this place here in town, not a chain(but should be), has the best burgers Ive ever had. Now mind you they have regular burgers but they also have specialty burgers like jalapeno popper burgers, Peanut butter burgers, chorizo burgers. They ven have wild game burgers like alligator, buffalo and ostrich. My personal favorites there are a couple burgers... one called a bleu grit. It has mushrooms bleu cheese bacon A1 sauce and onion crisps. Thats a year round burger. Then there is a burger that only comes around in january(they have monthly burgers) that is a burger with a patty sized onion ring on it filled with macaroni and cheese with elk sausage in it. And Bacon! Not a single Chain could ever phase the quality of this place. If you're ever in Southern Oregon... Try out Jaspers! http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/73...de69c61583.jpg |

Part of why I asked is because I wanted to know what others really like, maybe not who's the "best". The motor oil reference makes some sense too. :winkwink: I'll have ti try Fatburger sometime too. I've heard good things about it. |
The Habit when in SD and SB and Whataburger when in Tejas.
|
Wondering why no one mentioned shake shack? I loved their burgers as far as a "burger chain burger".
