I believe equality includes white men too. That's kinda the definition of equality. Everybody equal. I loved Dr. Seuss as a kid and, while that was a minute ago, so maybe I don't recall, but, in my memory, most of the characters were fantastical monsters or animals and, ya know, drawings with no obvious ethnographic markers.

Why don't they just remove the offending pic and replace it? Why cancel the entire book? I saw it on mulberry street the issue is one pic of an asian guy eating rice. Delete the image, problem solved. I've read the book for years and never though anything of it and my wife is asian and she never said anything *shrug*

Nobody forced Dr Suess to portray asians and whoever else the way they did in those books. They did that on their own. Their own decision. Nobody forced Dr Suess to remove that imagery. They also did that on their own. Their own decision.
