Are high post count usernames valuable?

What are some past sales prices of high post counter username? Whats a GFY acct with 15k posts really worth? lol

After Shock Media 02-03-2009 08:32 PM

At most a penny a post, assuming it has no past drama attached.

Ozarkz 02-03-2009 08:33 PM

That depends accounts from 2001-2003 with really low post counts are worth just as much if not more than accounts with high post counts.

StaceyJo 02-03-2009 08:33 PM

Mmmmm... lets hear it from the experts.

Well a 2003 account with 17763 posts. Value it, lol.

JD 02-03-2009 09:06 PM

I wonder what mine's worth :)

Barefootsies 02-03-2009 09:13 PM

Madness.

My original username is April 2003 with like 20 or 50 posts or something. I lurked more than I posted back then. When I went into adult full time, and after a year or so. I decided to brand myself, and my sites and picked a different handle to go by and became more active. Hence this one.

I did not know my old username was gold. LOL.

Iron Fist 02-03-2009 09:15 PM

It's worth what you can negotiate :)

And what was that comments "if it doesn't have drama attached to it?" the value goes up or down? I'm curious.

dial 02-03-2009 09:23 PM

I have a 35,000 post count registered in 2003 that I would be willing to part with

need a NDA signed though, hahaha

teg0 02-03-2009 09:27 PM

Start assigning value to them then forum admins with database access could start making fake accounts with old join dates and high post counts.

Jon Clark - BANNED FOR LIFE 02-03-2009 09:39 PM

lmao.....

xxweekxx 02-03-2009 09:50 PM

so im guess my name is worth a lot :)

Ozarkz 02-03-2009 09:52 PM

What you have said in the past can increase or decrease the value of your nick. Nobody buying a nick wants to look like a loser troll.

Hit up Ice and have him merge the 2 together... I had him do it with my 2 nicks, then it gave me my post count from my current nick, but join date from my first nick.

Rochard 02-03-2009 10:06 PM

Why would anyone buy a nickname on a message board? A high post count doesn't mean much; It might mean you've been in the industry a long time, or it might mean you've been in the industry four months and have a lot of free time.

Matt 26z 02-03-2009 10:26 PM

I have one from 1997 that has never been used to post.

SmokeyTheBear 02-03-2009 11:19 PM

everything is worth no more or no less than the highest $$ you are offered to sell it :)

GrouchyAdmin 02-04-2009 12:27 AM

Exactly....IMO post count is useless and means nothing at all. Typically people with a high postcount are broke tools....LOL:2 cents::2 cents:

Exactly.

Who are the highest post count users?

Juicy
Spunky
tranza
baddog

all are fucking losers without 2 cents to rub together

VicD 02-04-2009 03:43 AM

A high postcount means nothing...well, maybe a little...

Libertine 02-04-2009 03:44 AM

Nicks have zero value.

That said, if anyone wants to buy this one - make me an offer :1orglaugh

The Duck 02-04-2009 04:21 AM

I do think some attach value to the postcount and colored nickname when reading posts or looking for business. Even if its not a conscious choice. This applies mostly to new users I would think.

JamesK 02-04-2009 04:24 AM

I'll give mine away for a > good < deepthroat blowjob

Sarah_Jayne 02-04-2009 04:49 AM

Why would there even be a market for something? Just start your own name and post.

Jon Clark - BANNED FOR LIFE 02-04-2009 06:02 AM

I am looking to buy old nicks.. ICQ me with what you have..

Maybe people think they get more respect with a higher post count? Its pretty lame :2 cents:
