Worst tv sitcom ever?

I vote Mama's Family. What is your vote for the worst sitcom ever?

tabasco 05-19-2009 05:07 AM

More recently I would have to say In the Motherhood. Was looking forward to it and it just sucks, not funny at all.

They are bad actors in a sitcom about a newstalk show.

marcop 05-19-2009 08:48 AM

The Single Guy (mid '90's) that starred Jonathon Silverman. The network tried hard to make him a star, but he was just too lame. His high water mark will forever be Weekend At Bernie's.

CarlosTheGaucho 05-19-2009 08:56 AM

The worst sitcom I ever saw, was the first ever local sitcom, made by pioneers of the post communistic entertainment who tried to imitate the western model, that was already popular at that time with success of series like Step By Step or that show with Al Bunda.

But I suppose they hired a monkey to write the script and didn't had much money for production, so as the result there was NOTHING funny!

Not even one single dialogue, in fact it was very surreal to watch a combination of extremely vague dialogues without any sense or point, terrible acting from starting actors / non actors or overweight actors behind their horizon, and very cheap production, mixed with all that background laughter.

I guess it never took off and they canceled the series after 12 episodes or so.

mvee 05-19-2009 09:46 AM

the truth is most sitcoms are really bad. I can only think of about 5 shows that were any good over the last 15 years

LAJ 05-19-2009 10:42 AM

Baby Bob
Yes Dear
Small Wonder
Cavemen

To name a few...

And the fact that some of those went on for YEARS?!

The developers should be burned alive.

Tom_PM 05-19-2009 10:58 AM

Entirely too many "worst" shows.

Anything with a laugh track.

J. Falcon 05-19-2009 10:59 AM

Friends, can't stand it!

Quagmire 05-19-2009 11:01 AM

sitcoms are just crap in general. hard to pick the worst when they are all shite.

Well.. that's a serious contender..

one that probably really defined the new age impotent, politically correct, surreal dumb silly pseudo fun, one that's full of artificial dialogues, artificial emotions and artificial characters.

A serious contender with mass dumbing appeal.

FilthyRob 05-19-2009 11:52 AM

way too many to list.

who 05-19-2009 11:55 AM

Friends.

Tom_PM 05-19-2009 11:58 AM

Friends over Gilligans Island? Yeah I can see it. But to stuff a laugh track into some nonsense like picking up a banana creme pie? If you wanna talk about dumbing down the masses.. you need to go back farther than Friends :)

STAROTICA 05-19-2009 12:02 PM

"Pauly" :1orglaugh

Easton 05-19-2009 12:03 PM

anything that's already been cancelled, thankfully

»Rob Content« 05-19-2009 12:04 PM

will and disgrace by far

mozadek 05-19-2009 12:10 PM

"The Pitts", it was a stupid fox sitcom about the unluckiest family in the world. That piece of shit show was cancelled after 5 episodes.

nico-t 05-19-2009 12:12 PM

Thomas Cavanagh is the biggest tool ever,

sorry.

He's just one of those guys you can hate by the dumb look on his face.

Kind of like Frankie Muniz.

CDSmith 05-19-2009 01:41 PM

"Friends"? "3rd rock from the sun"?? Some of you don't have a clue what a truly BAD sitcom is.

Remember these? If you say no, count yourself lucky...

Charles in Charge - die Stott Baio
Perfect Strangers - with that Bronson Pinchot douche, how this gem of a turd ran for nearly 8 years I'll never know.
Veronica's Closet - had Kirstie Alley in it, total piece of shit show.
The Nanny - that chick's voice was enough to put rust on your face

and the one with Erkel, "Family Matters" I think it was.
