Fuck Paxum

I dont keep much money on my Paxum account, I always withdraw the cash after I get some payment from a sponsor. So today I went to take out my $80 and since I am in EU country , I had to guess the exchange rate and amount in Eur in order to get the correct sum. The ATM machines here wont show me the balance and I also pay for this information so its useless for me.

2 failed transactions = $1 (wrong guess)
1 succesful withdrawal = $2
Transfer from checking account to MasterCard = $0.25

So my $80 costed me $3.25

+ I had just paid the yearly maintenance fee of $45

Fuck your stupid fees are there any better alternatives? Cash X? Red pass?

bean-aid 11-22-2011 08:06 PM

That doesn't seem to high. Why not wait till it is about $500 and withdraw... it's the people who save up $100,000's of dollars and don't withdraw that get screwed.

I think the ability to walk up to an ATM anywhere in the world and have it give me hundreds of dollars is a miracle. So what if it costs a few bucks.

So you bitch about Paxum because you can't manage your money? Looks to me like it's your own fault and not theirs. Take some responsibility..

CashX is dead.

Jarmusch 11-22-2011 08:43 PM

Next time do the exchange rate before going to the ATM like a normal person.

Phoenix 11-22-2011 08:45 PM

leave it in there a little longer
take out everytime you can withdraw the amount you need plus two hundred...then bank that 200 each time
yous welcome

Epassporte gave many people a good lesson to not keep money in there.

The point is I get stupid charges, i.e. for just getting the information about my balance.

When I use my bank VISA or MC card I get charged a few cents for widthrawal, not $2.

brassmonkey 11-22-2011 08:54 PM

yeah cashx is dead :(

No, I bitch about their stupid and greedy fees, fuck it, paying for giving me the information about my balance? Sounds like a bad joke.

SpicyM 11-22-2011 08:59 PM

Any news on Red Pass? When are they going to launch it finally?

Does Michael O still work for them?

Yeah, normal person wears a calculator with him all the time and keep an eye on the rates every day in case of going to the ATM for $80.

Indeed... our lesson was to never use any of these services again. Even Paypal sketches me.

No, a normal person goes to http://www.paxum.com/ to see the balance and then goes to http://www.xe.com/ucc/ to convert the currency before leaving the house. A normal person also withdraws slightly less than the paxum balance because he/she knows there will be rate fluctuations/conversion fees charged by the bank.

If you don't want to plan ahead then stop bitching about failed transaction fees. :2 cents:

Paxum not support my country, Viet Nam too. I feel so sad for this.

oscer 11-22-2011 10:04 PM

Crap i think my Bank Charges me more then that for ATM withdraws

CrazyWhiteMan 11-22-2011 10:15 PM

most banks in america charge more than that for a withdrawal...

if I want to withdraw money from another bank's atm, then I have to pay $2-3 to that bank, in addition to paying $4 to my bank for using another bank's atm. So it comes up to anywhere from 4 to 7 dollars per withdrawal...

That's the reason I said withdraw at $500 increments... not $80. $3.25 of $500 is .oo6 or .6 % of the withdrawel which is nothing :2 cents:

Paxum charge fees because they are a BUSINESS.

Businesses stay in business and you don't lose your money BECAUSE they act like a business and charge fees.

That said, bitching about $3.25 fees is actually pretty sad. :2 cents:

Dude, come on. Sure, a lot of ppl got fucked by epass and you should not keep high amounts of money in your Paxum account. But withdrawing when you have just $80 in it? That's paranoid!

Don't wanna sound arrogant here, but that's pocket change.

I have paid up to 12 Euros for withdrawing from a ATM that didnt belong to my bank.

The failed transaction fee was all you buddy.

You are actually complaining about having to pay $2.25 to withdraw $80 in a different country when you are being given the commodity of getting your money off an ATM and not having to wait days for a bank wire...

Pretty sad.

icymelon 11-23-2011 02:43 AM

yeah so whats the problem?

nico-t 11-23-2011 02:46 AM

what a stupid thread, the paxum fees are nothing compared to cashing checks in EU which costs a fortune and takes long as hell.

SpicyM 11-23-2011 03:58 AM

Retards, the point was once again the fact, that they take money from you for checking your balance on the ATM + failed transactions. Which at the end wont show me the balance anyway. Why the fuck do I pay for it then? I dont fucking care if they give this info online, Epass didnt have to charge money for this.

This company simply needs a competition.

I dont need smartphone and I wont fucking buy one for checking a stupid exchange rate. At the end the exchange rate will be still higher than what I found on the net.

Paxum should also charge you a $10 stupidity fee every time you made a withdrawal.
