signups dropped off the face of the earth?
 

Has anyone elses conversion ratios dropped off a cliff? a year or two ago i would get 10-20 signups a day with 20k of google traffic, today the same google traffic gets 1 signup a day :(

Started out good this month but real bad today.

If your honestly getting 1 in 20,000 of any google traffic to damn near anywhere.. we might as well turn out the light, the party's over.

But things eb and flow. It has been a little bit better the last 30 days than the previous 30.

Well, things really were better a couple years ago, but there days everything is not so bad yet;)

Had a guy who recurred since 2002 end today. He ended in a bang too.

(38.97) in Nifty Stats... charged back two months for some odd reason.

But I love the guy/girl anyhow. SEVEN years he/she recurred to a pretty much now long defunct paysite.

I hooked a porn whale folks. He finally swam off today.

One more thing on eb and flow..

In Sept 2002 I had about 40 recurrs with a paysite. After the infamous Oct 2002 I had ONE. I lost 39 recurs in one month that had been recurring for 2-3 years. Really Oct 2002 is when this biz first went to hell. I do believe that was with IBill but long before they officially went belly up.

Anyhow in that month Oct 2002, I hooked the aforementioned whale. he recurred for 7 years. I lost every other recur but this guy started out with CCBill in the same month.

Eb and flow. Never a neg without a poss and vice versa.

Frustrating at times.

And I still don't know where the recurs went.

Yes, conversions are really bad.

Conversion are bad. Almost non existent.

The exponential explosion of torrents and p2p is what did it.

Word spread fast amongst college students and co-workers.

I don't know, I'm having a great week.. I had 2 so so days tue/wed but other than that both paysite and affiliate stuff are up this week.. but then again i'm working a shit load harder cause it is summertime and sales suck in summer if you don't work harder

Last year was 1:700, this year has average of 1:1100, and this month is 1:1500! That's with google traffic.. Fuckin unbelievable

Maybe that is what it will take. But even that won't stop the internet. It has an (illegal) life of it's own and it is moving on and taking no prisoners in 2009.

It will be a simple law, you have stolen property on your server you are just as big as a criminal as if you have stolen TV's in your car, and if you host anything that helps stealing you are charged criminally

February is traditionally the strongest month of the year, it didnt feel that strong this year.

Im still more then ok to be honest.
Its a LOT more work though, and im seeing a lot of guys giving up and moving into mainstream lately.

But i dont know why that would convert better. So unless things turn bad for me, im stcking with it :)

Yup, highly targeted SEO traffic - conversions in their thousands.

But for a mainstream product with relatively targeted traffic my conversions are 300-ish

Guys, things change.. but I have one site that converts with SE traffic more then 2 years at low 1:300... and this month 1:189!
And there are more sales nowdays then before! :)
