Largest Check/payment you've ever got working in Adult?

Let's hear it. Need some inspiration.

Horny Joe 06-03-2010 10:05 AM

I think around $3,000 for a two week period. Was AWE.

Barefootsies 06-03-2010 10:06 AM

If you rely on others to motivate you, then you will always have a hard time.

As to your O.P., my single largest single payment(s) have come when selling off a website.

beerptrol 06-03-2010 10:10 AM

fiddy cents. With the bank's check cashing fee, walking into the bank fee, teller fee, janitor's fee, and breathing their air fee it was -$11.50

tonyparra 06-03-2010 10:12 AM

$27 from aff :Oh crap

AdPatron 06-03-2010 10:16 AM

$15,000 ... not just once, but a few times.

ErectMedia 06-03-2010 10:21 AM

back when the paris hilton sex tape came out years ago I had a little reality porn site that only saw maybe 200-500 unique visitors a day all search engine/bookmarked traffic no bought traffic and I was working a full time gig at the time, used to come home and check stats on that little site and it would sell 5-15 tapes a day and the payout was $20 my way, don't remember what the checks were for but nice to make $100-$300 a day on a site that only saw a few hundred uniques a day, lasted for quite a few weeks, power of search engine traffic.

Largest single check at one time? $12k

Paul Markham 06-03-2010 10:33 AM

Back in the days of magazines would often get checks for 6,000 GBP ($9,000). Not hard when selling to a publisher with 8-12 magazines.

As for the Internet sold the complete Content stores a few times $25,000. Took a long time to copy it to hard drives. :winkwink:

st0ned 06-03-2010 11:13 AM

I wasn't in during the golden days but ARS cut me a $5,500 check about a year ago. Before I got into adult I ventured into the gambling industry before the US government fucked that up. My largest there was a 42k check for a 30 day period from 888.com.

andrej_NDC 06-03-2010 12:04 PM

SBJ 06-03-2010 12:13 PM

Ethersync 06-03-2010 02:02 PM

For affiliate marketing? $30,000 and change. 1 week.

smutnut 06-03-2010 02:04 PM

Yep. Being audited right now, and my accountant tells me it's a lock. Squeaky clean here.

How is the gambling industry these days? Still getting payments from old stuff or do you still actively push it? I can't remember if I ever pushed ufilliates or not.

Unfortunately no, I am 6 figures in the hole with the IRS. Biggest pain in my ass ever. :disgust

fatfoo 06-03-2010 02:11 PM

Who cares about the size of the cheque?

Care about the profits and the revenues.

Is it due to all of the new IRS agents and them focusing on small business owners that auditing it rising? That scares me to be honest. I don't have solid records dating back for the years that I have not filed.

My audit was triggered by some blatant mistakes 2 of my other accountants made.

But I highly recommend you get your records in order. I never thought I'd be audited in a million years.... only reason I even know about it in advance is because accountant #3 and I went into the IRS database to check on a statute of limitations date on something.

harvey 06-03-2010 02:20 PM

$-20 . Yes, I get checks with negative values :Oh crap

Vjo 06-03-2010 02:59 PM

1999 in a contest - $50,000 from Playgal (Australia) (Residual plug) :)

Serge (he still gets residual plugs too :) ) and an anon sponsor (long out of the game, but he wanted no publicity) also sent me $1000. I must always say that too. :) Serges arrived the next morning by fedex. The one from Dean took a fair amount longer but it did arrive. :) Funnest day I ever had walking into a bank.

ND and Top Bucks (teensforcash heyday) have sent me a few over a thousand. Ravo (fpctraffic) once sent me one for about $800. Back when popping an exit was the shiznit.

Sold a domain for a $1000 to a member of this board.

2004 - He writes me.
"Do you want to sell parishilton*.com
I say no.
He says $1000.
I say yes. :)

5 mins later in my paypal. Made that month.

Today I cant give parishiltonpictures.com away for $40 :)

st0ned 06-03-2010 03:07 PM

To give props to my current top earning sponsors, the following cut me 4 figure checks every two weeks:

Teen Revenue
Nasty Dollars
Huge Traffic

It has been a lot of years since I have received any 5 figure checks though.

trevesty 06-03-2010 03:19 PM

Back when I used to "flip" web sites, I sold a few for 8-9k USD.

A check from solely affiliate marketing... I think $3500. Was a couple of years ago, though.

V_RocKs 06-03-2010 03:31 PM

I'd say a steady stream of $3,000 a pay period from Nasty Dollars (weekly). Lasted for about 6 months while I had #1 in MSN, Yahoo and Google for a few of their sites and variations of miss spellings.

When I first started out, like a decade ago, no I did not pay any taxes for 2 years. I did not even file. I did go back and pay all my back taxes though including penalties, interest, etc. Had to pay the IRS enough fucking money to buy everyone in my immediate family a BMW X5, but fuck it. Live and learn.

My brother fucked up with the IRS so I was smart enough not to. You actually need to see them in action to appreciate how badly they can make your life miserable

baddog 06-03-2010 03:37 PM

$46,000 +/-
