New Amateur Websites
what is the best way to build a real amateur website?
|
What type of amateur site did you have in mind?
It's a bit of an open question and I'm sure there are plenty of note-worthy answers out there. For me - any site... I would say QUALITY. One of my favourite amateur sites has to be abbywinters.com... |

OK - well the one thing I would recommend is to avoid using images where site content (as in promotional text) is concerned. This is very bad for SEO. Have you considered redisigning it so text is easier to read? Images could do with being better layed out and if you have high quality content you should stop degrading the quality too much. Nice effort - But I'm not going to lie; I can't say i'm keen on the design but the site has potential so keep working on it! ;-) |
Help
ok, i stopped making the words apart of the design as you can see, also what do you mean by i 'am degrading the content? and i thought that the design was solid? and what were you saying about the seo thing? please explain further. Thanks:pimp

As in this type of content would be better if it had real text or at the least - a description and/or title applied to it:

Check out this site: http://www.creampie.com/homepage.html I assume your doing this on your own and you are still learning but it's always good to have a nice benchmark in your niche. Something to aspire to - if you will. Just some friendly advice. |
