Why dont you go sit in the corner with your Hipster friends and debate your favorite film noir - cunt! |
The OP image has been posted all over the internet for the past month. He didn't post anything original or funny.

It copied Star Wars IV in almost every aspect. VII wasn't a movie. It was a promotional creation to hook in a new audience and get some return on that 4 Billion investment. "Plans in the droid" "dessert planet like tatooine" "another fucking death star??!" :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh Blown up exactly how they did it in IV and always at the end of the film. "Finn blowing up tie fighters in the Falcon, like Luke did, ie: First timer. Fuck, just to name a few STOLEN story lines from Star Wars IV. VII was totally UN original and a horrible film. And this is coming from a fan that grew up with Star Wars. The first six, some may have had problems, but NONE of them had stolen story lines, like VII did. Even Lucas didn't like it. So chew on that. |

It's a really lame argument to say Force Awakens is a copycat, when it's obviously it's own movie. A few similarities don't hold up the opinions of nitpickers who think they know how the movie should have been.

"Here we go again.... again." - Tropic Thunder

Same story in the different angle. Good enough.
|
I heard George Lucas is revealed as Han Solo's father in the next one.
Or maybe it was Chewbacca. |
Everyone knows the similarities, but I still enjoyed the movie. Infact i went to see it twice just because I wanted to enjoy the movie experience in the theatre again before it ended. I will be buying the Blu-Ray for sure...

Movies in the very least should have an original storyline. Otherwise, they are just television shows with no plots.
This is a major science fiction film. In the least, the storyline should've been original, fresh, new and exciting. Not a mish mash of stolen storylines from the previous film. There is no excuse for this failure other than corporate greed. They created a film that was a guaranteed HIT because it was created with the exact same ingredients and format as the prior hit. That does not constitute what film is all about. Star Wars IV was a real film. Original and unique. VII failed because it lacked the most basic elements of a film, which is a unique storyline. You can whip out light sabres and explode ships to dazzle the eye, but without a story, it's all visual masturbation. Star Wars VII should've been about more than just explosions and hiding the plans in a droid. |
It's just a movie ...

All kids that don't know what they are missing. People like you probably liked "The Avengers" and "The Hunger Games" because those movies made a lot of money too, so they must be REALLY GOOD. Grow up. One day you will learn the difference between "Good" and "Original." |

WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU??? Let me ask you one last question. And please answer honestly. IF in 2017, Star Wars VIII has another Death Star in it, and the rebels blow it up, HONESTLY, how would you feel about that? Well, if you answered yourself honestly, that's exactly how I feel about Star Wars VII. Exactly. That is the root of the problem. Unoriginal repetition. |

If it ain't broke....
Lucas went so far off the storyline in I - III, he damn near single handily destroyed the entire franchise. Those movies sucked donkey balls. Of course Lucas didn't like VII, it's probably because he was forced out, had nothing really to do with it, and was better as a single movie than the collective prequels he shat out. Of course there are similarities, that's what makes movie franchises great. Look at any epic franchise, and they're all following pretty much the exact same sequence. J.J. simply stayed on course and released a brilliant movie. Of course people are going to hate on it, that's just their Modus Operandi. They'll never be pleased. |
