Does anyone actually buy or sell things here?
 

From my experience, most people don't buy stuff here. They just ask questions and then ghost you. Also from my experience, most sellers here are quite unprofessional, not timely, and seem to do this at 4am every third day.

Yeah, there are a lot of tire-kickers here, but there is also some great deals to be made here. It's my got-to place to buy and sell.

You are probably 10 years too late.. GFY used to be very good for selling and buying stuff. However the affiliate model died out for most people meaning there really wasn't a lot of people left to sell to.

People used to make thousands here selling blog templates or galleries not to mention content. Then there was guys selling various scripts or services..

The market consolidated and squeezed out the little guys as well as the bulk of all the affiliates which is what used to drive this forum.

Just bought a domain for $2500 recently.
Bought a network of blogs for $2000.
Hired a designer for some work last week.
Used a writer from here a month ago.

So yeah... It has been the same GFY to me today as it was in 2004.

I check the Buy & Sell section regulary and mail some people but there's never anything interesting there..

I find its much better to just contact interesting sites and ask to buy links/spots/whatever

Truth ... I started to lurk here in 2002 and made quite a few deals from GFY back in the day.

Over the years, this place has made me some nice PAPER. I also buy services and software.

All Gfyers are liars . . .

I use GFY for 3 reasons.

1. Porn gossip sites are pretty much dead and I like to know who the assholes are. Subsequently GFY doesn't give me much gossip unless it's something major. Still... it's good to keep my eyes and ears open

2. My phone list is old and I can often re-establish a few

3. During this lockdown it's been a way to kill my boredom.

Bought custom content from TrainWreck Content. Custom content takes a while, but content was good and worth wait.
