advice on producing content

Hey Everyone,

I currently have a small site up and running, check out the sig, and I have another one in the works.

However, the thought of one day producing content lingers. Where to start is the issue.

Where and how did you start? Maybe share a pitfall or two. Any advice, really would be helpful.

I realize that this vague, I'm not "holding on to my idea" just noticed there were no, this is how I got my start or at least that I could find.

Thanks!

Where are you, what's the niche, how much money do you have to spend?

I have written a lot on this subject so if you give me some answers I can point you in the right direction.

Hi ya, here's some recommendations!

Purchase a reasonable camera, think of the future, so 4K is advised. Depending on where you are, good lighting is needed. Also, when hiring the model, get some background exp. about the model, or you could have a no show & paying for a guy but the girl doesn't turn up can be negative payouts, so have back ups. Make sure you get written agreements & take a photo of the model holding this. You mentioned pitfalls, I've tonnes & tonnes of content, all hardcore with guys fucking me, they've signed & I have photo ID, but when it comes to selling the content, some companies want image of the models holding the ID etc.

You also want to keep backups of the content & make sure you've a steady hand to take the video :winkwink:

Just a few tips & advice. I can give you lots of info if you want to email me anytime :thumbsup

First thing is are you bothered if its exclusive or not?

If not, it could be much much much cheaper to buy it.

The next question is do you plan on shooting pics and vids?

Often the quality can be improved by quality lenses as well as lighting.

A decent photographer film maker can shoot on almost rubish and get great results.

Gary who posts in this thread pretending to be a female (as he got banned) runs a really shitty site that struggles to sell. Do almost the opposite to what he does and you should do ok. For instance he shoots his prostitute wife who on most of the pics looks sad. If you shoot content get someone who will at least look happy. In his case I would advise to keep the camera cap on as he would get better results.

Wow, this got out of control really quick! lol

Ideally, I have a niche or two that I would like to make movies around.

Right now this is more of me weighing my thoughts and actions. With that, I had hoped to hear a few more stories like, "Dude, I started do this and later I did this" you know?

okay, I've been shooting and producing content on a daily for 16 years.. here:

only you can decide on the content you want... great content is great content, shot on a phone or shot on 100K camera, or carved on a fucking tree... make absolutely no difference. great content is great content.

this is the very BEST advice you will ever receive.

I've been shooting content from 1977 to 2008. From the most amateur to magazine front covers.

If you want to shoot "Penthouse" level a budget of $20,000 for the equipment alone will soon get eaten up. If you want to shoot "Girl next door" a decent phone will do the job.

As Grapesoda says the equipment is not going to ensure great porn. It's what goes on in front of the lens that counts. And that requires a lot of experience and a gift to direct, inspire and manage models.

DVTimes 05-08-2016 02:34 AM

The trouble is, unless you tell us what you want to shoot, we can not really give much advice.

On one webmaster forum, a webmaster was asking why his cosplay site was not doing so great. The truth was he used cheap outfits, and poor locations. The quality of the pics did not matter, as that alone made things a fail.
